Kagome had left to be with Naraku long ago only to soon find out he wasn't as kind as he seemed to be. She and Kagura now live with him, both trapped in his grasp. Away from the safety of friends and family, Kagome is no longer the girl she once was. She could leave at any time but she fears for Kagura. She doesn't think anyone would want her anyway at this point.
Sesshomaru works at his father's company now that they no longer lay claims as Lords of the West like they did so long ago. Unfortunately for him Naraku also works with him. Naraku disgusts Sesshomaru. The more he learns about him, the more he wants to find him six feet under. When he sees good things around that spider he can't figure out how he has them. He'll be curious to find out though.
