It had been five days, since the search for Naraku, for the last battle began. Now, everyone was asleep, tired from a long day. That is, all but two little gremlins, who had slept throughout the whole day. Not wanting to wake up Kagome, they were both bored. One whispered to the other, as an idea popped into mind. In agreement, they decided to try it.

Bright and hopeful eyes no gazed upon the sleeping hanyou, his dog ears twitching. Even he had been exhausted, and now slept on the ground, unable to make it to his tree. Sesshomaru, the brother of this whelp, watched through almost closed eye lides. 'I wonder what they're doing..,' he thought, as he saw one of them shake him awake.

"Wha-Huh? Shippo? Rin? What's wrong?"

"We want you to dance," said Shippo.

"To what? Go back to sleep."

"Do it,' spoke up Rin.

He looked at her, actually surprised that she spoke up. "No, I'm tired...Leave me alone." He tried to go back to sleep, when Rin poked him again.

"Do it, puppy. Dance."

Inuyasha groaned. He knew he couldn't escape it. So, he stood up. One eye was closed, while the other half open. He wobbled as he stood. His arms lay dead at his side. All he wanted to do was sleep. Then, as he got some balance, he started moving his feet. Left foot forward, then the right. Lifts left, and moves frontward twice, and then the next. His dead arms moved only when his body did. This was the pattern of his dance. The two kids watched happily. when he stopped, and laid back down, he was poked once more.

"Do it again," demanded Rin.

"Yeah, again.," spoke up Shippo.

So, he got up, and started again. The children laughed quietly to themselves. "That's a great dance. Let's call it the 'Sleepy Time Dance'," told Rin.

All night, Inuyasha had to do the sleepy time dance. The next day, while the children slept on Aa Un, the rest walked on. Kagome walked up to Inuyasha, seeing as he was just as slow as the rest of them today.

"Inuyasha, are you all right? You don't look so good."

"Mmmrph..," was all he said. Kagome walked away, thinking it best not to talk to him. After a bit, Sesshomaru had whispered something to all awake, but Inuyasha. Something about stopping, when Inuyasha did.

Sesshomaru walked up behind Inuyasha, waiting to make sure inuyasha wasstill too tired to notice how close he really was. It took a lot to keep himself from smirking. He then leaned close to the hanyou's ear and whispered,"Sleepy Time Dance."

Everyone turned, to see the strangest thing they ever did see; Inuyasha dancing for no reason. Ever since then, even when Inuyasha was fully awake, he would start to dance that way, every time he heard those three little words. He even had forgotten the reason why. All he knew was he had to dance.

A friend of mine and I were role playing during French class, as we always did. At one time, we made an Inuyasha rp. Her demon character asked for Inuyasha to dance, and so I had to come up with the 'Sleepy time Dance'. Soon after, I ended up having to do this in public. Then, she moved sadly... And so, K-san, this has been written, in honor of when we would role play together, and the things tht I ended up doing because of it!
