*Beware of oncoming rant* While I am understanding of Kagome's anger over Sesshomaru hiding his mating from her (he should have explained the complications with Azumi), I am not so understanding of the other source of he anger and worse - jealousy. How juvenile is she? Kagome may be nineteen, but age has nothing to do with intelligence and understanding. It's actually none of Kagome's business, really, who Sesshomaru was involved with before her (other than the existing "relationship" since that effects her). ><

Yes, Kagome may hold the belief that there are soul mates, but you can't expect to only have that one relationship - IF you even manage to find this so-called "other half". How idiotic is that?! Kagome was obviously NOT ready to be in any relationship, let alone a sexual one, if she doesn't have the self confidence on stand up on her own two feet and can't accept that the world doesn't revolve around her. I mean, Sesshomaru isn't eighteen or even two-hundred-years-old. Even if he was, there is no rule that says you can't love or be in love with more than one person over the course of your life. *~You can't just close yourself off and then meet someone, decide they're your soul mate and share every sexual and emotional with only them. What if you're not compatible? Guess you're just stuck with them? Stupid... Just because she decided to live in a bubble and not be open or social with those around her, doesn't mean everyone else can ignore their needs.

My only other issue is with the belief of where the responsibility of them having sex lies. I'm tired of the men always being blamed for "forcing" (as you put it) the females to give up their "innocence". Yes, Sesshomaru withheld information, but he also asked her five separate times if she were sure she wanted to have sex. WTF? Anyone with any amount of deduction skills - even at an emotionally chaotic time such as that - would realize something was up if a person is asking for reassurance that many times. It my take two to tango, but Kagome should have just said "Let's wait" and inquired about his peculiarities after he asked her if she were sure for the second time. She was the one that instigated it anyway. *Rant finished*

Other than that, this was a pretty informative chapter. We got inside Kagome's head (as much as I disliked it, it helped) and Sesshomaru was given the chance to vocalize his emotions and reasons.



*~Not to mention, the fact that she's unable to conceptualize types of love as well as reasons other than her own to engage in sexual relations proves how immature and juvenile Kagome really is. She just needs to concentrate on being alone. And learning. Getting out of her comfort zone and learning about the world. *hates annoyingly ignorant/narrow-minded characters and people*

I love that I was right about Hojo. *proud* I don't know why, but I feel bad for Yuki (though only a little bit). On the other hand, I'm glad the plan is finally being started. Once Kikyo's captured, things will realy heat up. WOnder what they'll do in regards to her promised call though. And how are they going to just let her go? Hmm...

Chapter 53: I like how you called the city a "he" instead of the seemingly mandatory "she" most usually personify them as. Interweaving Okinawa's culture-rich environment and dated/historical air/atmosphere/architecture and Sesshomaru's presence in the city was clever as well.

It's good, I think, that you decided for a change in scenery. The shrine, as iconic as it is, gets to be a boring backdrop after a while. Incorporating the business aspect of Sesshomaru's life (since it's supposed to be so overwhelming anyway) into the story beyond everyone else's responsibilities to him and his makes this story more believable (for lack of a better word) and lets the reader delve into the story more. ^^ *gives you a cookie* I like.

O_o ...That was weird. I mean, the beginning in the yard. I was like, "haha, funny. He's such a teas-*cough*" LMAO Sessho's sweet though, tking care of Kagome and completely ignoring himself. Not very healthy, but sweet none-the-less. Poor Taro. As mature as you can become, having seen the horrific things he must have been privy to (least of all the visions from any of the previous wars), I'd really have to draw the line at seeing your parents. Tat's truamatizing. Poor baby... With any luck, the Kami-sama were merciful and cut his sight off after they began making out in the house.

Either way, pretty good chapter. I am a little dsapoointed that Sesshomaru and Kagome's relationship has progressed so quickly though (you did mention them wanting to take it slow) I get why. Time's running out. I was a little startled about the bite, but you cleared that bit up. Thanks. Hope Taro can get all the ingredients whle they're on Okinawa~
