Sess' parents didn't need a warning about a wandering miko staying over, it was more intended of keeping the lord and lady appraised of what is going on and who is staying under their roof. And they might have an issue with a wandering miko because as Sesshoumaru was alluding earlier in the chapter, sometimes wandering miko were essentially forced into prostitution and at this point Sesshoumaru just can't tell whether Kagome's ill-reputable or not.
