So, anyone who knows me also knows I have this weird obsession for searching for good quotes whenever I listen to or read something. Right now a vast majority of them are from Dust of Dreams, but mostly because I already had them typed up, and partially because I started writing quotes as I read when I bought it (so I don't have many others from other books in the series). I'm posting some of my favorites here:
" 'It seems you've lost not only your pride, but your sanity as well.' 'Sanity? Sorry, but I don't remember having such a useless thing in the first place.' " -Tousen and Kenpachi, Bleach
"Love means nothing to me If there is a higher place to be." -Lost and Damned, Kamelot
"My faith in the gods is this: They are indifferent to my suffering." -The Bonehunters, Steven Erikson
"Little do I know, Little do I care. Little would it help, If I knew and was aware." -Lunar Sanctum, Kamelot
" 'Boy, when you take a souvenir, you don't screw around.' " -Lee Adama, Battlestar Galactica
" 'Alright, that's it! No more Mr. Nice Gaius!' " -Gaius Baltar, Battlestar Galactica
" 'That's my Raptor wranglers, always looking for new and interesting ways to get killed.' " -Karl Agathon, Battlestar Galactica
"The pressure crushing in from all sides now, threatened to destroy her. She wept like the last child on earth, the last living thing, sole witness to the legacy of all that her kind had achieved. This desolation. This suicidal victory over nature itself." -Dust of Dreams, p. 263, Steven Erikson
"...there is no universal law that places a greater value upon human life over that of a wild beast. Why would you ever imagine otherwise?" -Dust of Dreams, p. 420, Steven Erikson
"It is tragic, indeed, how few we are, we who are unafraid of truth." -Dust of Dreams, p.465, Steven Erikson
" 'What's broken cannot be mended. You broke us, but that is not all - see what you have done.' " -Dust of Dreams, p. 636, Steven Erikson
" 'You want meaning? Make it up. You want truth? Invent it.' " -Dust of Dreams, p. 666, Steven Erikson
"And we, who are we? We are the despoilers of the world. Whose world? Yours." -Dust of Dreams, p. 808, Steven Erikson
"None to witness. Dust of dreams, dust of all that we never achieved. Dust of what we might have been and what we cannot help but be." -Dust of Dreams, p. 856, Steven Erikson
" 'Beloved son, is it time to end the world?' Face hidden from her view, Sechul Lath closed his eyes. Then said, 'Why not?' " -Dust of Dreams, p. 889, Steven Erikson |
