I think your English is better than mine! lol. And I started learning English when I was five. I had to since I'm living in America. I had such a difficult time with it though. Luckily, I had a kindergarten teacher who was Chinese and could speak Mandarin. It took me months just to learn how to say my name. LOL. You are definitely multi-talented though. You also know Japanese, right? You have to with all the Japanese romanji in Shanghai. I'm jealous of your language skills! I took Japanese for a year in high school, but I never got far with it. Then, with lack of use, I've forgotten the majority of it.

I don't know how it's possible to write a short chapter story. I always think that's what I'm going to do, but I end up just writing and writing and brainstorming, then... before I know it, I've got, like, a 70 chapter story plotline in mind. LOL.

Well, it was Choa Chu Kang to exact. I lived there when I started to have long visit to Singapore in order to get used to the environment. It was my cousin's place. Her house was really near the Yishun MRT station, a few minutes walk. Then moved to Bukit Panjang area when she decided to move house. Next, I moved out of her house and stayed in East area (around Kallang) for a year. And now I'm staying at West Coast. Haha~ Too bad I didn't get to know you back then, huh? Or we could meet up for some nasi lemak! XD

Yeah, my sister always says "Modern Disneys are total disappointment. Where has all the substance gone to?!" Classics are definitely the way to go. At least, back then Disney teaches kids to be nice and fluffy, not name-calling and trash-talking. Kids were more polite back in those days too.. (Geez, I feel old! Haha~)

Learn the dialect from your parents? I'm sure they'll be glad to teach you! Yeah, youngsters these days (like my nephews and nieces) can't speak any dialect. Even some of my cousins can't too. I guess dialects, especially the many Chinese dialects, are fading away because they can't keep up with the changes we are facing day by day.
