So, I was instigating craziness on chat (as usual) when I realized...
HAVE WE EVER HAD A DR. SEUSS CHALLENGE?
I was answered with a resounding "No."
...
THE BLASPHEMY!
So I'm making my first ever challenge!
Skyisthelimit's Dr. Seuss Challenge
Rules:
1. MUST focus on at least one of Dr. Seuss's genius stories
Now I don't want to be restrictive with this, but the SUGGESTED story line is
a) Stick SK and friends into a Dr. Seuss story
HOWEVER you may do whatever you please as long as it adheres to the other rules (which are as follows)
2. MUST contain at least 3 SIGNATURE LINES/PHRASES from Dr. Seuss
Examples are:
Any Title (i.e. the Cat in the Hat; Oh the Places you'll go; One fish two fish red fish blue fish)
"I don't like green eggs and ham. I don't like them Sam I Am"
Etc. Basically must be easily recognized as a Dr. Seuss line.
3. Must link your story on this thread so people can read your amazing work!
**This is a purely fun challenge, so there's no need to worry about someone "claiming" your planned Dr. Seuss story. If 12093801823 people want to write about the Cat in the Hat, then 12093801823 will get to write about it
**
Logistical Rules:
- Must be an original story (cannot be a chapter added on to a previous story of yours)
- If you decide to make this a drabble fic, you must make at least 3 drabbles, each with a line (see rule 2 above), before linking it on this thread. Drabbles should be "perfect" as in 100, 200, 300, 400, but no more than 500 words.
- If you decide to make this a One-shot, must be at least 1000 words
- If you decide to make this the beginning of a multi-chap fic, rules apply to he first chapter and must be at least 1000 words. May be linked here.
Rewards:
I will be have a banner for this challenge soon, and will be posting it to this thread. Anyone who participates may take it. (Samples of my art and banners may be found on my profile)
First three participants will get a personalized banner for this challenge
Karma will be rewarded to the first 5 participants. 5 points to the first, 4 points to the second, etc.
So, I don't know how successful this will be, but I hope at least some people have fun with this! I'm looking forward to all your stories!
