Yes, friends, it's that time of year... the time when we approach you all with our hats in hand, looking for donations to keep the site afloat for another year. Actually, I'm about 2 months late starting on this and I'm terribly sorry, but Real Life has been a bear.

In the next day or so, I will be sending out a group message with all the facts and figures regarding this year's fundraising drive. The good news is that our hosting fees have not changed at all, so that's still a fixed rate. The bad news is that our next payment is due August 15, 2013, and I'm not sure if we've got enough in PayPal right now to cover that.

In addition, we will need to renew our current chat host, or find a new one, within the next few weeks as well. Yeah, we're a little behind the Magic Eight Ball this year, for sure!

Right now, I am looking for an assistant to help me with sending out acknowledgements to our generous donors. If anyone has some extra time to devote to this task in the coming weeks, let me know. Any and all assistance would be GREATLY appreciated - since my work/home life has become even more of a hectic mess than it was last year!! I will also need some assistance with this years supporter banners, given r0o's absence of late - any banner makers want to step up and help out?

Again, I will be sending out the group message (hopefully) tomorrow, this is just a head's up to let you all know that we're under the gun.

I know you're uber busy, but the supporters page could use a little tweaking. With paypals new design there is no longer an option to send money as a gift.

It's only:

I'm paying for goods or services (In which case Dokuga would pay the fees)

or

I'm sending money to family or friends (In which case the only time NO ONE is charged fees is when you use a paypal balance OR bank account directly)

$0.00 USD fee if you use your PayPal balance and/or a bank account.
$0.45 USD fee if you pay using your credit or debit card.

Here are a couple breakdowns if you use a Paypal CC or regular CC/Debit card instead of bank account or paypal balance:


$1.00: $0.33 USD fee
$2.00: $0.36 USD fee
$5.00: $0.45 USD fee
$10.00: $0.59 USD fee
$15.00: $0.74 USD fee
