Give Away of the Day today is giving away Kingsoft Writer. This is a legitimate site that gives away one program a day. No, it's not pirated or anything like that, it's completely above board.

I downloaded then mucked around with it for a bit and, from what I can tell, it's all but identical to Word, including the view of it in classic form. It does the exact same thing. So, if you need one, grab it.

There is only one hitch to it, you only have 21 hours from the time of this posting to get it and install it. If you remove it after that or something, you've lost the license. Also, once installing, there is a box to pop up wanting to make Give Away of the Day your home page. Just unclick that. Beyond that, no spyware, adware, virus', nothing. So, if you need it, grab it and enjoy!

Looks really interesting though I have embarked on using a type setting document which allows you to be more familiar and have greater control over what you write.

Though some people would have a problem with what they make do with it considering that there aren't a lot of things that are going harder when you are on it with such things to memorize like which code is going to suit best.
