Yes it is truly a shame that a man like him should die so young. It was not as sudden as one might think though, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2004 and has had a horrible battle with it ever since.

He was the visionary who helped make home computers a common thing and user-friendly at that and be within reach of the everyday person. 56 is too young for anyone to die at all. I have been using Apple computers since the year dot and am still happily doing so. He has left a legacy which will see him remembered for a long time yet.
