On The View this morning, Teri Hatcher talked about The Bread Art Project. It's a project created by the Grain Foods Foundation to increase awareness of growing hunger problems in America. It's said that Grain Foods Foundation will donate $50,000 to Share Our Strength, a national nonprofit organization committed to ending childhood hunger in America. But for every piece of Bread Art submitted and approved on their site from now through 6/30/11, they will donate another $1.
It's simple to do and it doesn't cost you anything but a few minutes of your time. Go to the Bread Art Project website
here and go to "Make Bread Art." You choose the type of bread you would like to make art on and there are various drawing tools you can use to draw whatever you want as long as it's appropriate. Or, you can choose to upload a picture instead. When you're done, fill out their short form with a name, email, title of your art, etc, and submit it for approval. Once approved, they will donate $1 to the Campaign for your artwork.
Right now, they are at $7,056 which is a great start since the site was advertised this morning. It's fun, it's free, and it's for a good cause so please consider contributing your Bread Art. If you would like to share your Art, just take a screenshot and post it below, like mine.
