Well, seeing as we've all watched a ton of anime by now, we've been exposed to a lot of Japanese names. Do you have any Japanese names that you like? Whether it be a male or female name, first or last, doesn't matter.

Mine is actually a name I created for a sess/kag fanfiction I am writing. It is Takara, and it literally translates to Treasure.

My friend actually used this name as one of her character's in a fanfiction from a while ago. Arashi. It literally translates to 'Storm' which is extra awesome for me since that's my name, and also the name of a Japanese band/group, I think.

My favorite's actually change all the time, or at least the female one does. My current favorite for a female is 'Anju' (so cute!), and my favorite male name will ALWAYS be 'Kenshin.' ^_^ (Though 'Kaname' sounds pretty enough to be a close second.)

For female names, I really like Kyouko, Misaki, Sayuri and Shiori. Though, my most favourite Japanese name will always be Chie. x3

I really love the name 'Eiko'. I first heard it in Final Fantasy 9. Later on, I found out I had a family member that married into the family with that name. Sadly, she changed her name afterwards, because she wanted no more to do with her heritage. One of the reasons I love it so much is because it isn't used often. I'm not sure why though.

My favorite female Japanese name is Shiori, and I like this name so much that most likely if I were to have a daughter than I would name her Shiori! Another female one that I like is Rin.
Than my favorite male Japanese name is SESSHOUMARU! Some other male ones that I like is Koga, Kiba, Shippo, and Ryoga. Ryoga is what I named my dog!

O.O I like the names of some of my fav anime chars.
Motoko is probably my fav name from anime (Ghost in the Shell). I like 'Momo' meaning Peach, and probably Ren, Rei, and Rika for a girl, along with Anju, and Aika.
Sesshoumaru probably for Mr. Fluffster, and Miroku to for the quickest fingers of the Feudal Era, our favourite pervy Monk.

Mine are from fanfiction as well as original work.
This depends upon the kanji used for their names, which are many
Female: Suishoukaze (crystal wind) named as Sesshoumaru's first daughter. Akagi Inari (Crimson Skill of the Fox Harvest God). And Kirie (Misty Bay).
Male: Inuakamori (Dog who gaurds the red forest) Ren Shirokuro (Lotus of Innocence and Guilt) and Kyoya Shirokuro (Strong Night, Black and White)

I I guess the very first japanese name I heard was the name of a canadian francophone singer called Mitsu - I only realized much much MUCH later that it was Japanese.
Haru has been one of my favorit Japanese boy name, it was also the second japanese name I heard (but I can't remember from which manga/anime I heard it from).
The third japanese name I heard was from Escaflowne Hitomi -- as funny as it as it might seems, just like the first Japaness name I heard, at the time it didn't sound that japanese to me - go figure! hehe ^_^ --
But my favorite female japanese name is Yori
