Wow, I just started reading this story yesterday, and was so surprised (and delighted) to see an email stating you'd updated! Although I did not review the other 98 chapters, I am planning to reread it sometime and give my thoughts on the chapters separately, if that pleases you :)
Anyway, this is such an amazing story. The title fits it perfectly: the development is hardly perceptible, but it's there, and it's so smooth and delicate and wonderful and makes me go all gooey inside all the while making me smile and sometimes laugh out loud as well. Although I think I would have liked it better as a 'real' chapter story (which it became in the end and which made me one very happy reader), I must admit the short drabbles fit better, showing those small moments during which the magic happens, so to speak. You portray the characters so well it's as if you invented them yourself, which is quite a feat. I especially like Miroku and all his mischief, and Inuyasha too: the mix between his gruff self and the 'regard' he holds for Kagome was displayed so well. I also enjoyed how you managed to include Shippo, who is often forgotten.
I also love your writing in itself, the words you choose (so many new ones I learned by just reading this, and occassionally looking for help from my dictionary), the way you just make the story drift along its plot with what seems like no effort at all (though I am quite aware it must take quite some time and effort to produce them). The words never seem out of place or strange, and though I sometimes find myself reading certain lines or parts twice, that's usually because English is not my primary language.
Another thing I absolutely marvelled at is the plot: it moves so slowly, but never too slow to be disrupting, and though very little actually happens in the first chapters, I was immediately tugged into the story and couldn't stop reading until I had reached chapter 98 (neglecting precious exam preparation in the meantime, but I don't regret it one bit!). It's such a subtle story, which I think is needed to be able to go about SessKag convincingly. i hardly ever run into stories where I think Sesshoumaru is actually really in-character, but you write him spot on, and I think I'm madly in love with your Sesshoumaru :D
So let's get on to the chapter review, as I will be reviewing the other chapters sometime soon as well :)
The first half of the chapter gave a nice wrap-up of the immediate aftermath of Naraku's death, but I guess what everyone else who has and will review this will screech about is the latter half. The last half was so touching, cute, somewhat sad, and I admit I let a tear or two while reading their conversation. Throughout the story you never failed to amaze me in terms of dialogue, and I think this was one of the best: probably the perfect way to have Sesshoumaru and Kagome convey their feelings. The words, the feelings, the descriptions, it all just fit perfectly. Although we all know by now how the canon story ends, this is a great alternative.
All in all, I could go on and on about how amazing and talented you are as a writer. This story is so terrific and I can't wait for you to write the final chapter and put it up (even if it takes decades, and even if it makes me a little sad because it ended), and I'm definitely going to check out the rest of your stories! If they're half as good as this one, I will probably find myself glued to the screen whenever I start reading one of them :) Thank you so much for the very enjoyable adventure that is called Imperceptible, reading this actually made me a happier person!
P.S. This is probably the longest review I have written in a long time, sorry for the long read!
You know, we were JUST talking about this story yesterday. I was hoping we'd get to see the ending soon. :3 I loved how this chapter turned out. And I'm glad the two of them realized they'd have to give up some things to do the right thing. Bravo m'dear. :3
I really loved this chapter- you write all the characters so well, but I think I like Miroku the best. His little game with Sesshoumaru- to prove that he was distracted by Kagome, was just great and very funny.
Always enjoy your work- even on the third or forth read through.
Good luck with everything and thanks for taking the time to post your stories.
Lemo (Chapter 57) - Wed 18 Jul 2012
I just realized that i've been reading too much Naruto fanfiction because when they mentioned how much they had to clean I thought to myself that they should just use Kage Bunshin!
Besides that, I love this story! I look forward to reading more of your work!
Brandy (Chapter 10) - Tue 10 Apr 2012
omg perfect!
Brandy (Chapter 6) - Tue 10 Apr 2012

SessKag<3 (Chapter 3) - Wed 28 Mar 2012
I remember this bothering me before. WHAT WAS THE QUESTION?
SessKag<3 (Chapter 1) - Wed 28 Mar 2012
Re-Reading this fic, yet again, for the -- fifth time, is it? I keep appreciating your writing and characterizations more and more with every read. Like I said before, it's still the best in terms of character portrayal of all your stories (although all your other stories are also fantastic).
SessKag<3 (Chapter 98) - Sun 25 Mar 2012
I don't know what to do about this story. I am anxiously awaiting an update but I never want this fic to end! It has the best depiction of Sesshoumaru of any of your stories! I wish you would make it more than 100 chapters. :(
Phebe (Chapter 98) - Sat 03 Mar 2012
Was that the end? If it was, it was adorable. If it wasn't, I am waiting in ridiculous anticipation. Either way, though, Sesshomaru's familiar calm will have to be present.
BigFan~ (Chapter 98) - Tue 17 Jan 2012
If I could, I would've given you all of my money if it means you'd update this amazing story 0.0
WeepWeep (Chapter 98) - Tue 15 Nov 2011
Oh' I'm lovin' this story more and more each chapter! When will you update? I'm thirstin' for some more SesshyKags interaction here. By the way, i love Kouga's character. You just can't get enough of guy with a good sass!
Love the story. You keep them all so true to character, I'm amazed! ^::^
Instant favorite. :)
Alpine (Chapter 98) - Tue 30 Aug 2011
It took me over a week to read this one. Just came to it one day and realized I hadn't read this. I can't believe it actually, I thought I had read all of your work. It's fantastic and long... LOL Hope you have a chance to finish it up soon. I see you have been working on it for quite awhile.
Hugs and keep up the great stories. I love all of them
Alpine ^_^
Loveyaa (Chapter 98) - Wed 24 Aug 2011
That was quite the way to kill Naraku. I liked it. It invloved all of them and seemed realistic. I can't believe that Sesshoumaru made it out. I wonder how they will pick up the pieces (not any of the ones of Naraku). I did like how you portrayed him in his last little bit. I can't wait to see what happens next :)
It feels so good to read this update! ::happy::
Brilliant job, as usual. I look forward to more, and I hope there's more romance soon!
sesskag<3 (Chapter 97) - Sun 21 Aug 2011
You're the only one who can write action/fighting sequences that I enjoy. This was such an epic and fantastic chapter, no matter how many times I read it! Sesshoumaru is banking on Kagome's loyalty and emotion to force her powers to react, isn't he? I wonder if the group knows...is this what InuYasha meant when he said "Kagome wouldn't like this"? Back when they were talking about the plan?
Eryn (Chapter 98) - Sat 20 Aug 2011
" A hand. It steadied her, keeping her above the morass as Naraku’s remains sagged and sank around her. Kagome’s heart leapt as another hand closed around her opposite knee, and the first hand slid up along her thigh. Sure hands, guiding her descent, assuring her she wasn’t alone. Long fingers gripped her hip, turning her and pulling her securely against an armored chest."
I looooved this chapter, and this moment was my favorite! Tee hee! I'm so glad he pulled through, as if he wouldn't, pft!
Also, the InuYasha/Kouga team up? Amazing!!!
Keep going! The anticipation is killing me!!
yasurei (Chapter 98) - Sat 20 Aug 2011
While I did like the chapter it was a bit unrealistic. Why would Naraku let Sango come near him and practically let her rip into him to take the tama? Naraku is many things but stupid he is not so this scene was just weird to me, he could have killed her easily. It would have been more believable if Kagome just purified him with the jewel together.
Meara (Chapter 98) - Sat 20 Aug 2011
Yay! I had to re-read the chapter before this one to get my bearings, but boy am I glad you didn't forget about this story like I did. Crazy awesome, can't wait for the next update, the aftermath!
