There was something strangely enchanting about morning twilight in the feudal era. The stillness of the summer air and the soft whirring of the cicadas created a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, the endless sky painted with the first vestiges of sunlight. It made for a stunning visual, the kind that one would only find in fairytales. Beautiful visual description, you've done a good job of painting with words here.

And it was indeed peaceful, especially as of late. While lesser demons still stalked them for the shards, they’d seen neither hide nor hair of their greatest foe [or] nor any of his minions for nearly a month. I would use nor here, just to keep it in the family; it sounds better to the ear too.

Sweating constantly was bad enough; Kagome didn’t have the patience to deal with that and villainous douche bags harassing them. Excellent mood descriptor, I especially love villainous douche bags.

Kagome gave herself a little shake. [‘] "That was… an odd experience,"[’] she muttered, more than a little confused by what had just taken place. You've been using the single quote to denote her thoughts, here she is actually speaking so the double quote is more appropriate.

Your writing style is a little stilted, but I believe that will improve with practice. You have a definite flare for storytelling and that is the most important thing. This is a very charming little drabble. I will try to read more of this as my brain functions allow.

No, seriously though, this was another great chapter from an awesome writer. I love Kagome's nervous blabbering and her crazy thoughts. You've managed to make her so in character, and it's absolutely hilarious to read her reactions to Sesshomaru's advances. I was literally laughing out loud as I was reading this.

I also loved the fact that you tied this chapter in with the last simply by mentioning that Inuyasha was there one moment, and then he was gone and Sesshomaru was left standing in front of our favorite miko, all kinds of dirty thoughts filling that pretty silver head of his. 

His reaction to her denial is so very Sesshomaru - I wish I could write him that well! I was anticipating a little action, honestly, and I have to wonder if he dislikes the taste of cocoa butter...apparently not, but maybe the taste of miko is much stronger? I like the way he assured her that he wasn't just curious about the products she used, and I'll bet I would have been just as confused as she was, if not more so. 

By the way, licking is good. Very good x)

And then you went off and left us with a cliffie...You're evil, I tell ya, evil!

Anyway, absolutely fantastic job so far, and I'll be waiting eagerly for the next chapter!
