Allyonora (Chapter 32) - Mon 10 Oct 2011

I love this story, you're a fabulous writer. But I'm sorry, I don't see this chapter happening.
I've read your LJ entry, but still can't see Sesshoumaru sacrificing a pup, leaving the baby behind, to pursue a carefree life with his mate. He's after all a warrior with a high honour code, and never would allow a infant to shoulder the burden that's his to carry. And I just can't see Kagome doing the same. I agree with Reader in Disguise, a thing like this will end up eating both of them inside.
What Kagome and Sess are planing to do? Jump in the well and meet their son 500 years later? What's the reason on this? Some hundred years'll make things better? Or worse, spend 500 years walking around, having fun and creating a new family, hopefully forgetting about the baby they used as payment for their freedom? I know it sounds harsh, but that's the way their firstborn will see the deal. I would. No matter how I look, it just look like they're taking the coward and immature way out, escaping their responsabilities (especially Sesshoumaru's) and using the child as a freedom ticket from a "boring life". I don't see giving up your child, when you're fully capable of raising him, as a honourable thing to do.
Yes, court life is stiffy and full of routine, but they have each other! They can fight it, and try to change things! I can see them using their love to ground them, to help each other to survive the difficult times. And that way, they can be a real family, keeping their son. And I don't know, if things become to much, maybe they can take a vacation from time to time, leaving SessMom taking care of hard work. That world be more reasonable, I think.
Anyway, I hope you understand I'm not trying to flame, I just don't agree with Kag and Sess decision, and I think it's out of character for them.

higan (Chapter 1) - Mon 10 Oct 2011

i actually loved this chapter cause it leads to more. and i doubt that they will be gone CENTURIES!! at a time. the other thing is that in the end this is YOUR fanfiction, not anyone else's. There are thousands of different sessh's and kags out there.. and i think when a person really really likes fanfiction and they see a great story they tend to shove that one sessh or kag in many stories. still i was sad about the baby give up moment, not b/c of what the reason for it to happened.. but b/c of how u explained their sorrow, it was so visual u cant help but want to cry with them and hig them.. and i was happy that they found their love and can finally express it, its so cute to see sessh call her pet names and tender endearments. so i have that happy feeling knowing that their family maybe seperated now.. but soon it will GROW and come back together. kinda like broken skin from a paper cut.. yea it hurts when it happens but it only takes a little bit for more skin to cover the slice and become whole again. yea it was weird but it makes sense, well to me.

Lumi (Chapter 32) - Mon 10 Oct 2011

I've not reviewed until this point because I felt there was nothing I could add or even comment on because I didn't want to even try to sway your course with feedback positively or negatively.

That sounds incredibly stupid now that I think about it but the point I'm trying to make is that I enjoy each and every bit of this story. Between the character portrayals, the imagery, and just the great depth the story holds. What else can I say but it's simply wonderful.

Anna (Chapter 32) - Mon 10 Oct 2011

Hi Chie,

I've logged in to review this story, because I don't think it's fair if I was just anonymous. I've read your livejournal post, and have thought about your reasonings. I just don't foresee anyway for them to have a happy future. Maybe Sesshoumaru and Kagome can, with their new pup, but if their first born has any realistic human emotions, he'll feel very bitter about it. He may in the future understand their reasoning, but he'll never love his mother. This is a very different horse than adoption. Usually adoption is carried out by parents who either don't want children, too young, or financially unable. Sometimes it's a mixture of reasons. But in your story, Kagome and Sesshoumaru aren't too young. She's 17, but she obviously has help and is financially able to take care of the child. In my view, if she gives him up, she can't in good honesty expect to see him or have him acknowledge her son later. My own opinion definately colors this review, and I know that others will differ in theirs. But I really can't see her justification for giving up her son as anything other than selfish. She left him to his fate, while her and her husband escapes it. In your journal post you say that her son will have support from their friends. Well, they had support from their friends too. It's incredibly cowardly and honorless to leave your newborn to take up the mantle that YOU were suppose to take. How can they expect to have a happy ending? Maybe you'll make the child stronger than Kagome and Sesshoumaru. I don't know what you'll do. And in all honesty, I think the reasoning you give is fair, but a little weak. You didn't really give an explaination in HOW she thinks it's the best for her and her child. It really is at odds with the plot, since she basically traded her son in for Sesshoumaru's freedom. Perhaps this should be explained near the ending. I also think that their son would face the same if not more pressure than Sesshoumaru. His parents (his father and his mate) abdicated the throne. For what reason? They're too kind to rule? Their son won't be? And if he isn't too kind to rule, how can he possibly reunite with his mother? I understand that sometimes reality is just like this. And I trust you to make the ending fit. Maybe there will be a plot twist in which a happy ending is possibly. Obviously, I think you're an amazing writer, or I wouldn't have bother to write an essay response to your's. And although I'm just a little upset, I'm more baffled than anything...

TruGemini (Chapter 32) - Mon 10 Oct 2011

Hey Chie! I for one must say that this was a beautiful, heart-wrenching, joyous chapter. Her having to give up her son was hard, but I saw her courage and understood what she was trying to do. Thank you for a great update. I await more....somewhat patiently.

MontiK (Chapter 32) - Mon 10 Oct 2011

This was amazingly well done. If anyone is upset with you then they're being silly. This is a very new take on their characters and it's beautifully executed. This is sad, but it's still the perfect move for the characters. As always, I love you stuff :)

1CarinoInu (Chapter 32) - Mon 10 Oct 2011

A fantastic chapter and very heartwrenching.  For Kagome and Sesshomaru to give up their first child so that they don't have to stay and rule....I don't think I could ever do that and it just shows how strong as a couple Sesshomaru and Kagome are to support each other in this decision - even though she didn't speak to him about it in advance.

Her sacrifice for her mate and her love.

Reader in Disguise (Chapter 32) - Mon 10 Oct 2011

After reading your note on LiveJournal regarding this chapter, I can see and understand your point of view, and I can apreciate Kagome's view about Sesshomaru and the future that would eventually not only eat him from the inside, but also would had consummed Kagome & eventually even their child.

However, I wonder if I missed something or perhaps I didn't understand, but will Kagome & Sesshomaru be banned from visiting their child? Will their baby grow not knowing them? Is Sesshomaru going to attempt to live this whole time in Japan without ever seeing his own son?

Perhaps beause it just "seems" as if they are leaving the baby behind without a hope to see him again until at least 500 yeard have gone by, that it has a harsh feeling to it. Otherwise I think I am ok with it.

Skyisthelimit (Chapter 32) - Mon 10 Oct 2011

Ok, first, I feel really embarassed because I accidentally gave this review to a different story. >_> This is what happens when you have too many tabs open I gues =_=;;

But anyway, here's my review:

I knew it :3 Don't worry, I completely understand why you did it; however, some assurance that there will be an overall happy ending will be nice :)

Oh, and I'm so happy they finally said the L-word to each other. Took them long enough >_>

Meu Dragostea (Chapter 32) - Mon 10 Oct 2011

Oh that is HEART WRENCHING. Amazing. Beautifully written! Well done!

Hoshi Phoenix (Chapter 32) - Mon 10 Oct 2011

Chie,

This chapter was heart breaking BUT I do see what you saying. Kagome believes she will see her son again and I believe she may very well. To give up your son and not know the possibility of not seeing him again would be hard. But I am glad that she followed her heart and what she thought she needed to do. They both would have been unhappy in that life (anyone would!). In the end this chapter was true to its title, "The Turning Point" because it was.

I eagerly await the final chapter of this amazing story! I know it will be wonderful ending. :)

koneji (Chapter 32) - Mon 10 Oct 2011

*Wailing my heart out* Oh I never even expected that! But you wrote it so well that I can't help but like the chapter. For Kagome to experience the loss of being part of her child's life to save her mate and herself...*Resumes wailing* But still, as you implied, hope is still on the wing. Fantastic work!

Rin (Chapter 31) - Tue 20 Sep 2011

Well. What a chapter. Is that the end of Naraku? Let's see what happened and the aftermath next chapter then?

Also, Poor Kagome, without you both acknowledging the love, there is no proper connection there....it's just a secret and potential hope. Just don't give it up yet!

And Sesshoumaru....so cute when he's possesive. Experiencing the pups kick was quite a moment there. <3

As for the last section.....hmmm....I wonder how that will turn out. I've always seen kagome as a mommy kind of character....so giving up her first born to take over the responsibilities?....It could work if his temperment suits it over freedom. That is quite the descision.

I think I want to try to draw some fanart for this....2 images came to mind from this chapter....I hope at least once turns out how I want.

The Reader (Chapter 31) - Mon 19 Sep 2011

Thank you so much for the update! I missed this story so much! Naraku is finally out of the picture, so I wonder what is going to happen to the members of the group? I feel bad for both Kagome & Sesshomaru, both so unaware of the other's fellings! Please update soon again!

sugar0o who lurks (Chapter 31) - Mon 19 Sep 2011
