Oh, and TruGemini makes an excellent point about the mirror, especially considering Ai's, and I guess Sesshoumaru's, ability to see the future in still water. Is this mirror specifically designed for that purpose? Does it amplify that ability? For some reason...I feel like you've mentioned it before in passing. Am I making things up?
Oh sweet Jesus *flops down dramatically in exhaustion* that was a LOT to catch up on! After xmas I was waylaid with real life and this story just slipped quietly past. Well, no more! I mean...xhsoihfha;woefa. Yes, hfiwhaibtlgahiu. That's how fast my brain is spinning right now with all the twists; I've strapped any coherent comments in a centrifuge and set it to the highest speed.
The various "fluids" that leak out when these undead peeps are injured is very X-Files of you. It's such a vital clue and yet I have no idea where it's leading. And YAY for Kouga's appearance! I do miss that wolf. And I really like the way you've written him; tenacious, but much more intelligent and cunningly patient than he's normally represented.
Oh yeah, that last chapter was Global Warming hot. As in, "I'm doing calisthenics on the surface of Mercury" hot. Just, um, yes.
And for my final nonsequitor thought, I have never been so utterly terrified and disturbed by Inuyasha in my entire life. Boy's got nothing to lose now, and that's what scares me. Maybe he'll be the one to take down Inutaisho, just by the sheer scope of his rage.

| Great job on the chapter as always. I really enjoyed how you entwined the poem to describe how she sees Sesshomaru. She could have been bitter that he's been gone, but the renewal of feeling at the sight of him, that was good.
