Kagome is a young demon with unknown origin and powers. For most of her life she has lived on her own, until a kind elderly priestess takes her in. But Kagome's evident demon blood places her caretaker in danger and so she sets out once more to find her place in the world.

In this story, Kagome is already a youkai/miko. Inuyasha disappears one night and Kagome follows, only to find him........er.........mating with Kikyou. In need of some way to vent anger, Kagome gathers her things and sets off on her own towards a Shikon shard she senses somewhere in the forests. This only leads to one of Naroku's traps, But it appears she will not be alone in this prison.
