Ahhh the lovely Katie Holmes bob!! You should try it, really! With your pretty face, I cannot imagine a hairstyle which would not suit you. But of course, it’s quite hard to part with long hair especially since you’ve had it for such a long time! But short hair is so much easier to maintain, and there’s less pressure on the roots so it decreases hair fall as well. I don’t look super duper awesome, my dear!! I disliked my short hair because the natural wave in my hair compels me to straighten my hair EVERY MORNING, which is a total pain-in-the-unmentionable. I love looking pretty, but at the same time, I hate spending too much time on grooming, which is why I need an easy hairstyle which doesn’t take more than ten minutes to style. As for my favorite hairstyle, I still think long sexy waves are the prettiest!

I agree with you – there should be a balance somewhere, and I’d like to believe that we’d all find it someday. Culture really should be preserved; I’d hate to talk about culture in future only to have my children give me confused, questioning looks. Speaking of which, I was wondering if most of the Native American children go to private schools, or reserve schools.

LOL it’s kinda cute how Asian foodstuffs are lumped together with the others! Speaking of big differences between Chinese and Japanese cuisine…well, variety is one! Japanese food is rather limited in variety, while Chinese food is...I can’t even start to imagine the different types of food we have in Chinese cuisine. We have all kinds, from mainland (China) Chinese food; Hong Kong Chinese food, Taiwanese, and you just imagine the variety in mainland China alone. That place is HUGE, and tastes vary with every province and prefecture. (or so I’ve heard from my mainland Chinese friends) For example, food in the Northern areas is more heavily-flavored with emphasis on sauces and seasonings, while Southern cuisine is said to be lighter on the palette with most of the dishes being steamed dishes and soups. Some areas of China do not eat spicy cuisine at all, while areas like Si Chuan serve MAD SPICY FOOD XD I had this spicy Si Chuan hotpot and it was CRAZY. My lips turned red and swollen from drinking the soup. It was THAT bad, LOL. I thought I could start spitting flames.

Awww sweetie, you know, it’s so cute how 5’3” is short in the US, but it is considered fairly tall here!! XD I am considered to be rather tall by some of my friends (one of my best friends is 4’8”) and sadly, we don’t have very tall guys here either! My ex was the same height as I was, and I couldn’t wear heels because he had a problem with me being taller. But yes, don’t we all want a taller man?? Not for any serious reasons, but simply for wearing the pretty heels and getting help with changing the light bulbs.

The native languages definitely sound very, very different from what I am used to, but it's so beautiful at the same time! I thought Miss Navajo sounded really lovely, and (don't laugh) but I tried to pronounce some of the words there, only to fail miserably... XD It's really cool though. Can the people of different tribes understand each other? Like, for example, among the Chinese we have different dialects. More often than not, people from different dialect groups have difficulty understanding each other, which is why standard Mandarin is very important LOL.

The massage almost KILLED me. And I am not exaggerating, Siki dear. My back is bruised. Literally, because I stupidly said yes to the massage lady's suggestion of the traditional Chinese 'Tui Na' technique. It's this superrrr deep tissue massage which focuses on various points in your body, and gosh, she pressed soooooo hard on various locations of my back. Apparently, my back was in such bad shape; she could practically see a bulge on the right side of my back when I lie flat on my tummy. And oooooh acupuncture really did work for you as well!! It's great to know that your knee is back to normal again!

Hazel-colored eyes...not really. We do have chestnut brown though (my mom) but most people have really dark eye colors. Like yours truly. Hair past your bottom?? Wow! It must be really, really pretty! The longest I've worn my hair is probably down to my waist I cut my hair short for the first time in seven years last year, and as you can see in my profile pic, it's the girlish bob with bangs.

OMG I never knew those 'highlights' were gray hair!! (No offense there, Siki dear, but I really, really thought they were blonde highlights.) But gosh, that girl was REALLY annoying! I agree. It's really difficult to marry strictly within one's race these days, especially given how 'mobile' people have become with the advancement of technology. But it's such a shame to know that the culture and practices might just end up disappearing with time, and the law isn't exactly helping. It's really, really such a shame. I feel upset whenever I am reminded of the inevitable decline of culture. We have a lot of cultural practices which are disappearing with time as well, and bah, it's just sad.

Grocery shopping...JAPAN!! They have the most awesome stuff, like curry-flavored soda and all kinds of creative snacks. I like buying Japanese ingredients, condiments and seasonings as well, because Chinese cuisine and Japanese cuisine are very similar, and we can use some ingredients interchangeably For example, the only difference between Japanese yakisoba and Chinese stir-fried noodles is the sauce, so it's pretty cool to experiment a little XD I explored super markets in Australia as well!! But I didn't buy much because everything came in rather large portions I found super-sized boxes of cereal!! Milk and yogurt come in REALLY large portions too XD

I think wild boar should be pretty close to what you've described of bison meat...it's pretty tough and lean. I didn't dislike it, but I can't say I'm a fan. Crickets were surprisingly good! They were stir-fried and tossed in a sweet sauce, and tasted like sweetened anchovies with sesame (a Chinese snack). I have the link to the picture which my travel buddy uploaded on Facebook:

Karate Kid was not bad at all! I enjoyed it, though it's a little too...Americanized, if I'm allowed to say that. Jaden Smith was in China learning kung-fu, and I didn't understand why he was the 'Karate' kid, since karate is a Japanese martial art. LOL. But I understand how people might be apt to think of the different forms of martial arts as rather similar, so it's cool. Awww if I ever go to the US one day, I'd most probably be reminded of you all the time!!!

I am such a glutton; I love 'em all!!! XD I barely eat meat, but when I go to Tony Roma's, the suppressed carnivore in me just leaps out and attacks those yummy grilled ribs. Trick questions! gah! It's like getting scalded all of a sudden right after reading one of those questions. There's also these LOOOOONG questions where they don't make sense in the end anymore, you'd ask: "What was I suppose to look for?" hahaha "head desk" LOL I did that a lot back when I was still studying. Like literally doing the head desk on the part where our professor would suddenly announce we have a SURPRISE long quiz coming in 10 minutes... and that happened a lot @_@ I didn't learn my lesson from it.. I always come to school unprepared. Some brands have two shades of BB cream, although the other one is a little darker than the lighter shade, it's still made for fair-skinned people. They should make more shades of BB creams so people of different skin colors can use 'em~ Maybe it's because BB Creams are sooo popular in asia that they cater to pale skinned people. I haven't seen much famous western brands sell BB Creams.

What you've said about dating out of one's race is very true, I guess The good thing about Singapore is how the population is very multiracial, and interracial dating/marriages are not uncommon. But that doesn't mean interracial couples don't face any obstacles; one of my friends has a Chinese father and an Indian mother, and I've heard how hard it was for them to get together. I hope your friend's family has grown to accept her boyfriend Are interracial marriages common in your community? One of my distant cousins married an Australian white guy, but her parents are really cool with it and everything went smoothly for them.

Oooh bison meat at the super market?? That's really unheard of!! I have to see it for myself one day...I love exploring super markets when I go travelling XD LOL I guess it's hard to find such 'exotic' foods in developed countries, and even if you were to come over to Singapore one day, I don't think you'll be able to find stuff like python soup or ostrich meat and so on. But you can get those in other parts of Asia, especially the developing countries where local culture is still very much kept alive. I had python soup in Thailand, wild boar meat in Taiwan and grasshoppers in Japan's countryside. LOL.

I fully agree with what you've said. It's tragic to know how people kill gorgeous animals for something so mundane and meaningless. I can live without a snow leopard coat or a tiger skin rug. Those poor animals don't have to lose their lives just so we can put their hides in our living rooms for display. I was watching this documentary on NatGeo Wild and there were these poor snow leopards who were maimed by hunter traps and rendered unable to hunt or fend for themselves. It's even more tragic in this way, because they'd have to live in captivity until they die.

MYTHBUSTERS!!!! I like that show!! XD As for Discovery Home and Health, I like 'Baby Story', 'Table for 12' and so on! It's nice to see shows which focus on the family, and I love seeing babies Table for 12 is really interesting; the family has ten kids, and it is really quite chaotic at times though the home is just brimming with love and laughter. Oh, I've been meaning to ask. How would you react to the idea of say, quintuplets? XD

Very "FRENCH FANCY" indeed XD Ooohh~!! I've always wanted to design my own gown XD I tend to be OVERLY picky when it comes to my own clothes. So most probably I'd end up designing my own gown. It's only once I'm wearing it so why not give it my best? XD

I met him on cyworld (a korean community online) and well, I guess we started out as friends and had no idea how to communicate with each other. He couldn't speak English very well and I can't speak Korean at all so I can imagine why my friends give me a look that says: "how the hell did you two get together? Silent 'be my girlfriend?' and Silent 'Yes'?". so we have a HUGE language barrier. But still, I guess my childishness and talkativeness attracted him @_@ I didn't expect we'd last longer than a month. We're currently on the rocky part of our relationship.

Yeah, I sooo need a man who can control my temper and silence me when I'm being a little unreasonable. I'm like a difficult child LOL sooo hard to take care of XP Awwww, at least you found yourself someone who can put up with you in difficult moments and stay with you in your worst.

I brought Etude House's BB Cream earlier today~!! It's a korean brand so I'm a little confident it will match my skin type XD I didn't like Maybelline's BB Cream, it kinda broke me out T.T I'm a huuuge fan of eye liners XD I love making my eyes look cat-like~ And I don't regret spending too much money on cosmetics XD.
The BB cream I have in hand has Arbutin, Adenosine and Titanium Dioxide(they say it helps whiten and smoothen skin, and helps lessen wrinkles). It also has SPF~ And anti-acne ingredients. And I kind of feel safe with it since they have minerals good for your skin. I'll have to try my new BB Cream and see how it would work on me XD The only thing about BB Cream is that they only have either one or two shades. Coz BB Creams are made for people with fair complexions(Koreans were the main target before coz, they always have this pale complexion @_@)

I’ve always had super black hair and almost-black brown eyes. Little Siki sounds absolutely adorable~ Blonde hair?? That’s even more precious. I’d really have to overcome my unexplained fear of white men. LOL.

I have something to say…I agreed to going out on the date with Andrew. LOL. I said ‘Okay, maybe we can have dinner or something.’ We’ll see how it goes then; at the very least, I’ll gain a friend, and that’s good enough! It’s best not to go with any expectations, don’t you agree? Another thing which is pretty much of a bummer is how people view Asian girls who date white guys…people tend to have the impression that we’re out for money or benefits of some sort, which is really not quite true for all. Gold-digger, white fetish…all those nasty words, LOL. That is one of the reasons why I took so long to decide to go out with Andrew, but I gave it some thought yesterday and I figured it was really unfair to him if I say no because I was afraid of how people might view me. If I were to reject him, the reason should be that I don’t wish to go out with him, and not because of what others might think.

Yeah…inorganic rearing and all that genetic modification is ruining the quality of food! What strikes me as a great irony is how organic food is so much more expensive in comparison to inorganic. That’s…scary. *recalls Animal Planet documentaries* But I am sure it tastes really good. The snake I had was a python and a rather large one too, judging from the diameter of the cross-section. Meaningless killing is the worst way to demean life. I don’t understand it either. Killing for fun is such a twisted way to derive joy…I’d rather do other sports or play video games for fun. It’s just as bad as killing for specific body parts? Between selling supposedly prized animal parts and boosting the illegal trade and black markets around the world, and killing for fun...well, I can’t really decide which is worse.

XD Speaking of why the girl in the show got shot when she tried to elope with the man, well, it’s because songstresses in those times were usually bound to the night clubs/lounges by very long contracts, and those establishments were often run or heavily affiliated with underworld triads. So they got discovered when they were trying to escape, and were killed as a result.

I get what you mean about History Channel. If I have to see one more program on Doomsday or whatever, I'd probably switch to watching Spongebob on Nickelodean. I'd prefer real history as well, especially when they provide not only actual facts but differing perspectives on those facts as well. I haven't watched the world after people one...is it good? And oh, I've been meaning to ask, do you watch Discovery Home and Health? That's my guilty pleasure!
