Isn't Hokuto perfect??? *swooons* I think he is the IDEAL. Which explains why I am so hooked onto that story, even though the plot has so many loopholes and silly, unexplained events. I read it for him. And now I've gotten another lovely girl to join his extra-marital wives club!!! Possessive men are definitely good! I like it when they are mean AND possessive, but of course, not to the extent where it gets creepy and demands legal action. LOL.

Ah-ha! When I saw 'tough Chinese household', I had to nod in agreement. I understand what your aunt meant when she said that she wanted a weaker guy to control, and I believe it's because she has seen enough of chauvinistic men who treat their women as subordinates more than partners. I cannot say I agree with her, because we are brought up in a different setting, but I can understand from her perspective as well. My grandfather is such a man (note the 'is') and till today, my grandmother still lives in constant fear of him. He used to be physically abusive in the past, but now, he has mellowed though the I-am-the-great-head-of-the-family mindset is still very much instilled in his mind. She continues to suffer his scoldings and demanding nature, but she doesn't want to do anything about it. I love them both (my grandfather adores me; he is just mean to his wife and kids, but he loves his grandkids), so it's kinda sad to see them unhappy all the time.

I'll definitely let you know if I ever get a boyfriend. Somehow, I am quite jaded when it comes to relationships for now. Maybe I just haven't found the right guy.

Hi, Destiny! I've been fine. Sorry I haven't been around much lately; I've been lurking for the most part. Only around the forum, though. I haven't read many stories in a while.... I miss it. T_T Hopefully, I'll be able to print some out soon so I can get back to reading. I've got plenty of print paper, now all I need is some black ink and I'll be back to rolling in fanfiction.

The fresh sashimi sounds fantastic!! That has got to be the freshest you can ever get eh?? Which fish do you like best? I have soooo many favorites, but I think I enjoy salmon, tuna belly and yellowtail best. You know, my dad told me he once had sashimi in Yokohama (which is a port town) and they basically fished the poor fish out of the sea in front of him, sliced it up, and arranged the slices of sashimi on the poor fish itself. HOW SICK IS THAT, SERIOUSLY?? And the poor thing was still gaping away. It was ALIVE. Arrrrgh.

When I was reading your wall post, I think I was constantly nodding in agreement. Especially when you mentioned 'bastard in love'...OMG I was like, "THIS IS IT." I fully agree! But I wonder if such men really exist. You know, my ex-boyfriend was the complete opposite of this and I accepted him because he was just soooooooo nice and sweet to me. But after a while, it got so annoying because every conversation we had was a one-way thing (I spoke, he agreed) and he would ALWAYS give in to every whim of mine. I confided in some close friends with regards to this, and some of them thought me to be an ingrate because they'd like to have a man like this. I think we really are masochists. You see, I didn't pass the interview I went for, and though it was quite disappointing, I figured the job wasn't really for me and it was really not meant to be. So I am fine now, and loving life the way it is!

Tsukiji was fantastic; I had the set meal and the sushi was...OMG. I have never had such good sushi before, and it was really fresh and yummy. Even the seaweed and wasabi were better. I didn't see the fish sellers in action though! Apparently you had to wake up really early to see them, no?

You sound like you had a fantastic time in NY!! AND OMG ALL THAT MANDARIN SOAP OPERAS!! You're gonna have a good time watching those!! I am currently obsessed with this particular HongKong drama titled "Gong Sum Gai", or "beyond the realm of conscience". It's sooooo amazing.

Hi dear!!! I am baaaaaack!! WOOHOO! How are you doing? Tokyo was amazing as always, and because it was an all-expenses-paid-for trip, we had tons of good food. I had sushi at Tsukiji for the very first time, and it was really quite extravagant. So I am very happy and fat right now. The entire week was quite stressful and tiring though, since it was supposedly an interview, internship and orientation program all in one. I have no idea how well or badly I performed, but I am not going to give it thought until they send me the results. I made new friends on the trip, and had lots of fun, so you can say those are the intangible benefits of the trip. On top of that, I met a pretty cute guy on the trip, and now I have a little crush on him. LOL. He works part-time as a gym trainer!

I will definitely check the anime/manga out when I get the chance to! Right now, I am just obsessing over Enjouji Maki's Hapi Mari (Happy Marriage) and it is PERFECT. It is up to chapter 16 (full of steamy goodness YAY), and I cannot wait for MORE. Go see this link:

Ahhhh!! Itazura na KISS!!! I LOVE IT! *floating hearts* Shoujo manga is so amazing, and they have the most handsome men!! If you check out Enjouji Maki sensei's works, you will see why I adore her. She has the MOST GORGEOUS MEN in her drawings. But then again, I might be biased because the men she draws are my ideal type. LOL. But then again, who doesn't like tall, handsome, suave and a little perverted men?? *sigh* Shoujo manga is probably why I've been single for almost two years; they set standards which no living man can reach.

I am so glad you checked out Enjouji Maki!! I worship her. Sekai wa bokura no tame ni is an amazing story! I'm halfway through the first book (it's on my bed LOL) and I've never come across a plot like this. You have to check it out; it's the reason why I feel like dating a younger guy.

I have never heard of Junjou romantica but I've just googled it and GOSH, those boys look absolutely yummy. I HAVE TO READ IT. I made the mistake of buying those weekly manga publications when I was in Japan two weeks ago, and gosh, they turned out to be a collection of updated chapters of different stories! So I don't get to read the start or the end of the stories in it. I want to cry, really! HAHA it's sooooo annoying.
