It must have been tough on you when you initially moved to America, and thank goodness you had that kindergarten teacher. She must have helped a lot. As for Japanese, yup, I've been learning it for ten years, since I was 13. So I guess I can say I'm effectively trilingual...you're really observant though! I never knew people could tell I know Japanese from the romaji used in my stories. You can definitely pick the language up again And just watch more drama/anime for practice. (it is the best excuse for watching them!)

YAY I am glad we share the same tastes in music - I love the song 'Yi Nan Wang' because it is so poignant yet not tragic (if I even make sense HAHA) Darling, you're brilliant. The ADE scenario in your review is like, 70% accurate. But not all, because I have a BEEEEEEEG twist coming up in the story. It will make Sess/Kag even more painful than what they are now. *feels guilty* LOL. And oh, I am glad you liked Xiao Hui/Megumi too! She's the most amazing anime female character in my opinion. You can't help but respect, hate and love her at the same time.

‘1,000 Paper Cranes’ is definitely very ADE (I like that abbreviation!) and I love the snippets of romantic moments here and there~ Thinking about that makes me bounce in my chair anticipating the new chapter. I am very glad I was able to inspire you with my story! To be able to churn out one whole chapter in one sitting after so long is definitely not easy, and I am very, very proud of you! I’ve never thought of myself as being good in any way, English is after all, not my mother tongue, and I was mainly Chinese-speaking up till the age of 12. Like…umm…70% Chinese and 30% English? It was worst when I was a little girl at the age of 7, 8…I was being taken care of by my grandparents, so I spoke to them in Hokkien, which is very similar to Tai Yu if you understand it.

Dear Raine!! I am back!! I am so sorry for taking so long to contact you; I've been busy with everything LOL. Anyway, how have you been? I hope everything has been going well for you. My Japan trip was excellent; I have never eaten so much soft serve ice cream within such a short period of time! Sakura flavored soft cream is actually very very good.

And guess what? I am going to Tokyo in a week's time! But this time round, it will be for my final interview with UNIQLO for their global hiring management program. I hope it goes well...I don't want to jinx it by saying too much, but still...I am so excited about it!

Dear Raine, I have finally gotten around to replying your wall post!! So sorry to have delayed it; I was preoccupied with packing and buying gifts for my Japanese friends. But I am kinda done, finally, and that gives me some time to reply emails and wall posts!

Awww come on into the bag!! I will leave aside for you and we can go have fun in Japan! LOL. You should visit Japan someday if you get the chance to, since it is merely 2 hours away from Taiwan (if you are there, that is). I will be visiting a total of 6 places, and it goes in this order: Hamamatsu in Shizuoka prefecture, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe (where I spent slightly over a month on summer school at Kobe university), Kiso valley's Tsumago-juku (which is a 200 year-old Edo era village) and finally, Tokyo. It is going to be great fun, and I promise to upload lots of pictures for you to see!

You should come over to Singapore if you love good food! There are all sorts of local foods here because of the multiracial nature of the population, so you get Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian food everywhere. which explains why I can never lose weight, but that's another long story. Which part of the US do you live in?

Speaking of K-dramas, YES YES YES I have no idea why everyone has a terminal illness. It's kinda cliche sometimes. Like...the first cancer case is The second is and the third is... and the fourth is simply "Okayyyyy. So they all die. Hrrrrrrmph." I really like Taiwan dramas too!! I watched Smiling Pasta; it is so adorable One of my favorites would have to be Bai Quan Nu Wang, or "My Queen" in English. They have really badly translated titles sometimes, but who cares, the show's good! Fated to love you is another of my favorites! Ming zhong zhu ding wo ai ni!!!

I literally LOL-ed at your grandma's strong teeth!! She sounds absolutely adorable. And though she doesn't talk much to you, it's really sweet of her to give you the silver bracelet. Sentimental value is priceless.

Singapore is a...well, I can't really describe it in a few words, but it's small, terribly warm but it's pretty cool in the sense it's a rather developed place. The shopping's great, the food is excellent and it's quite clean and green. You have to come here to take a look for yourself someday, since it is merely 5 hours away from Taiwan! I sure hope your uncle had a good time while he was here.

Autumn in my heart was a great drama, but it got a little too sappy for me towards the end. I hate it when people die in dramas, because...LOL because they're just supposed to end up together and have a fairy tale ending! Is Air City good? Choi Ji Woo has amazing complexion. In fact, all the Korean celebrities do. I loved the drama "All About Eve" as well. Have you watched it before?

I can understand the problem with distance! A 24-hour flight is crazy...gosh, I can never sit still in a place for so long, which is perhaps why I've not made any plans to visit the US yet. lol. But at least, you have your mom to help with translation! It beats staring at each other and getting lost somewhere in the conversation. Aww you're talented! I cannot play the piano though I used to learn many many years ago, and K-drama OSTs are best when played on piano. 'Stairway to Heaven' was excellent; I like Choi Ji Woo's dramas as well! She's so pretty and so...well, for the lack of better adjectives, so clean-looking. Full House has got to be my favorite K-drama of all - Rain and Song Hae Gyo are sooooo cute in there! And Byul's "I think I love you" is such a perfect song for the show. This brings back fond memories!
