I associate it with bastard but to my understanding it's a rude way to say YOU

Edit: *notices, bastard is a rude way to say you*

On a couple of stories I've read, mostly Naruto on other sites, Naruto calls Sasuke "Sasuke-teme." At the end of their chapter where they try to include a little glossary of japanese vocabulary they've used, they list "-teme" as meaning "b**tard". My own search came up with nothing, so I have more or less come to ignore the term.

TEME sounds like TEH MEH. Informal and extremely rude way to say "you". Very popular word in anime. Using this word means you're looking for trouble.

Fun fact: All writers are crazy, to some degree. There is a reason for it -- actually making it through a novel almost requires it. If you love to read, then you\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'re continually benefitting from other people\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s craziness.-From Cracked

My sister in law says it means "you- something bad". Must be an insult?

I was reading Something New by Sarhea and Inuyasha called Fluffy Sesshoumaru-teme. Does anyone know what teme means? I tried using a Japanese/English dictionary but did not come up with a match. Thanks!
