Hello!

I'm writing a oneshot, and this thought came to me:

Inuyasha changes to a human on the New Moon, which means his youki is, let's say, 'lessened', thus overpowered by his human blood.
So, I was wondering, do you guys think it's a good idea for Sesshoumaru's youki to be at its full on the Full Moon night?

I mean, he's rather very powerful already. But would it be a good idea to implement this connection about the phases of the moon and his youki?

I think it would be kinda cool. Like his beast doesn't come out unless it's X time of the month. Hehehe

What do you guys think??

That's an interesting concept. We know that Sesshomaru has a connection with the moon by the crescent on his brow, but other than hearing that its an inheritance from his mother as a part of linage, is there any other connection in the way of strength to his youki? I think seeing a plot made out with the idea of Sesshomaru's power and inner beast connected to the moon will be a delightful read

I say if you can make it work, go for it! Though that's a pretty tough idea to go with seeing as how Sesshomaru is already powerful. How much more awesome can the demon get, lol? Any ideas? Maybe a new ability or will it just be power alone?

I think it would be beast-related. Like, in X phase of the Moon, he is completely overpowered by his beast. In his humanoid form. Like, his basic instincts come out to the surface...

I'm not sure. Hehehe... I'm trying to build a plot around that. But I'm glad some of you liked the concept!

Hmm, maybe as you said have the full moon be where he is at his strongest, and the waxing crescent his weakest?

But when we talk about 'weakest'... and 'strongest'... where are the standards for that? I mean, like it was already said, Sesshoumaru is already pretty darn strong. Could an enemy defeat him if the moon is a new moon? I don't like the idea of a Sesshoumaru that could lose in a fight.

Or perhaps... that would make a good plot? Him overcoming the weaknesses that nature bestowed on him sounds like something we can write about!


What about his control over his beast? His control is weakest at the full moon, and strongest at the new moon. Kinda like his beast is loose one night per month... So, we can see him losing control to his beast on a full moon, but completely composed on the new moon.

That would work. I guess.

And some powers... Hmmmm. Anyone has ideas about new powers?

By defining 'strongest' and 'weakest' you could define it by his control over his inner beast. Sesshomaru is seen as the epitome of a being in control of all aspects of himself, hence his name- the killing perfection.

An enemy might not be able to fully defeat him, but if caught unaware, by an expected attack, like how Inuyasha was able to cut off his arm, or playing an underhanded trick (Naraku) I could see Sesshomaru at least injured.

New powers? The guy has power over life and death! Lol, not sure what else he could have...unless you could somehow make it possible for him to wield someone else's...like Kagome's?

Lol, exactly that. Sesshomaru's power is youki, and with that he is very nearly an unstoppable force. But if you introduce a foreign power, such as reiki and an equally powerful one-such as Kagome's, for him to wield, or handle, manage, command, whatever haha, do you think he would be able to do so with ease?

I've read some stories where he is able to direct Kagome's reiki but not be in full possession and command of it. And I'll give you another twist, Kagome's reiki could be seen as 'alive' with a mind of its own, due to her connection to the Shikon and just being herself as a unique miko, therefore, we can assume that Sesshomarus youki as apart of him is less emotional based, so if Kagome's reiki is introduced to him, as a person who is distant from emotions, he would have a hard time being able to control (wield) her powers.
