Does this problem occur when you are in Word or when you paste it to be posted? If the lines become formatted like that in Word it might be an error with the page format. In Word click Page Layout. In Spacing you should make sure that both before and after is 0 pt. The default format for Word seems to be Before - 0 pt and After - 10 pt.

Not sure if this is your problem or if its even related. It annoys me when Word does formatting like that by default when I don't want it so when I saw your post I thought it might be related to that... ^^"

So I will seriously love anyone who can help me out with my little problem/question!

I write my fics using Microsoft Word 2008 for Mac. I also use the "paste from word processor" button when I upload my chapters. But, with or without using that button, I always end up with extra spaces. (By spaces, I essentially mean lines, like when you press the Return/Enter key.)

For example. Instead of my lines looking like this:

This day's black fate on more days doth depend:
This but begins the woe others must end."
-William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet, 3.1

They look like this:

This day's black fate on more days doth depend:

This but beings the woe others must end."

What browser are you using? That might have something to do with it. For many people, Firefox works the best... but for others, Chrome is better.

When I go in and help authors having trouble with their formatting, I usually copy from the edit chapter screen, paste into my ancient copy of Word for XP, select all, change the font to Verdana 10pt., then correct the wonky spacing. Then I select all, copy, and paste directly back into the edit chapter screen.

The word processor thingy stopped working for me about 6 months ago, lol!

Well, Firefox didn't work and neither did Chrome :/
I also tried everything else you suggested (the copying, pasting, fixing then re-pasting) and none of that worked either.

I guess I'll just deal with it. No one's sent me a message complaining about it or anything. It just a little weird to read like that. No worries though! Thanks again

Ah, that would be wonderful if possible! I don't want to be too much of a bother, though!
