Sometimes, we feel like a good cry, to cleanse our eyes and our souls. Is there a fic you set down to read with tissues in hand? Which do you think are the most effective sesskag tearjerkers written so far? I would very much like to hear from my fellow Dokugans. To start it off, here is my "1 litre of tears" list for when I am feeling sentimental (in no particular order):
1. "I've Been Waiting for You" by Byjinder (and all oneshots in this trilogy)
www.dokuga.com/spark/story/6383/1
2. "Table for Three" by Priestess Skye
www.dokuga.com/fanfiction/story/262/1
I really can't explain why this always tears me up. Perhaps, it has something to do with the absentee dad and single mother angle striking too close to home.
ADMINISTRATOR EDIT: rated R
3. "Friend for Hire" by Marulover
www.dokuga.com/spark/story/6112/1
Ah, unrequited love, never fails.
4. "Pyrrhic Victory" by ShadyMinion
www.dokuga.com/spark/story/2930/1
This author is a master of darkness and angst. However, the other stories being too dark, induce dry-eyed despair!
5. "Memoirs of a Blue-Eyed Geisha" by Sugar0o
www.dokuga.com/fanfiction/story/1996/1?author=226
This is really a divergence for Sugar0o considering her usually super-powered Kagomes. This oneshot, however, demonstrates her potential range as a writer. And it says something that I cried after reading this when I never cried after watching the movie.
ADMINISTRATOR EDIT: rated MA
6."Absolution" by demonlordlover
www.dokuga.com/spark/story/7398/1
Most tears are shed during the part where the kami shows Sesshomaru Kagome's life story.
ADMINISTRATOR EDIT: rated NC-17
Well, those are the top 6 tearjerkers for me. Hope to hear from you all!

There haven't been many that made me actually cry, but the first one that comes to mind is Atonement by Miss K. I bawl every time I read that one.

"A Question of Honor" and "Somthing to Talk About", both by KougasAngel on A.S.S. are both really heart-wrenching for a long while, then get more hopeful. They are both A#1 fics. The type of story I find SADDEST, though, is the domestic break-up story, where Sess abandons Kagome. One of the most brutally sad is "A Heart's Strangled Cry" by Miss Artemis on A.S.S. If you want a sad one, check that out. Some others you can find on Dokuga: "Love Yourself" by Akumi, "When Everything Falls Apart" by IrishBlackRosie, "Home's Despair" by D-lover 02, "Broken Innocence" by Mute Shadow, "Forgiving Him, Reclaiming Her" by Sesshou's Nubia, and "Til' My Heart's Unbroken" by Lady Safire. Not a complete list, by any extent, but enough to use up one box of kleenex, anyway.

I cry myself stupid each and every time I read "Tales From the House of the Moon." Especially the last chapter, for some odd reason. I mean, geez, it's a great ending, but I still sob my eyes out.
Pfft. Probably has something to do with getting old and senile!

Here's a sad story: "Two Hearts" by ShadyMinion on ff.net. I don't want to spoil anything by going into detail, but it's just so sad! What ever happened to ShadyMinion, anyway? Anybody out there know?

Mine would be Devour Prometheus by ladybattousai www.dokuga.com/fanfiction/story/2190/1 . The last chapter she updated had me in tears. Another tear jerker we can't forget is To wash it all away by Crystal Echoes. She is re-writing it so hopefully it will just as much of a tear jerker as the last. You can find it at www.fanfiction.net/s/4464109/1/To_Wash_It_All_Away

For me, it would be Mine! by Angelic Memories, especially when Kagome finds out Inuyasha died in the battle and she never gets the chance to forgive him for what he did to her. And he never got the chance to seek happiness as a youkai and find a mate of his own.

Ah! That one made me sob! I guess it's because even though it had a happyish ending it just left me sitting there with a feeling of "no, that's not the way it should have happened."

I cried a bucket a tears when I read Sword of Supreme Conquest by Langus - sesskag.dokuga.com/fanficread.php?fid=6722&cid=1 ...one of the best SessKag stories IMO. The plot twists this story had were above and beyond. It's the sequel of Incomplete written by the same author.

Oh, Wiccan, I am so with on 'Tales from the House of the Moon.' I can't get through it without crying like a fool. I'm that way with all of Resmirelda's stories. I know when I read one that sooner or later, and probably sooner, I'm going to be actually sobbing. It's like she's wired into my tear ducts. Upsets the cats no end.

Spot on. I think it was even sadder to me b/c I was listening to "not ready to make nice" by the Dixie Chicks. It really set the mood and tone of the one-shot. I'm still sniffling!!

Well I think everyone cried reading Tales from the House of the Moon!! But I also balled my eyes out for ...Feels So Right by Oroyukae. Story was just a tale of love gone wrong and how medical conditions do affect everyday life. It brought Sesshomaru down from his 'God' like image of perfections to a being with flaws who is capable of catching sicknesses that aren't some rare demon only disease. It was humbling and sad and I'm tearing up just thinking about. The story is definite must read!!
