I know there are quite a few gender-bender fics and challenges out there, but I've never seen this done (guaranteed that that doesn't mean that there aren't any, I've just not seen them).

So I'm doing a role-bender challenge, in which caracters are going to have their roles stripped from them and reversed. (Should be fun, we all know how much authors love to toruture our beloveds )

Now, here's the general idea: You are free to put any caracter in a role of some other character in the series(AS long as it's not the original role they played). Granted, a few can stay in their original ones (mostly the minor caracters and such, but one or two major ones as well if you wish).

Here's an example:

So, Sesshomaru is the time travelling human priest (with awesome spiritual powers) pulled on the eve of his __birthday down the well. Kikyo is the Half-demon pinned to the tree of ages. Sesshomaru is the reincarnation of Inuyasha, a powerful priest that pinned Kikyo to the tree and protected the Shikon no Tama. He was also Kikyo's first love.

Inuyasha gets revived in a clay body (yaaaah, karma rules ), and is out for revenge. Kikyo has a hard time choosing between the two.

Sessh has a little sister called Rin.

Kagome is the awesome Lady of the Western lands, full demon and older half sister of Kikyo. (From whom, mum or dad, is your choice). Jaken is the irritating imp following her around and worshipping her like a goddess. Shippo is the little human boy killed by wolves whom she revived with the Tenseiga.

Sango is the miko with the kaazana and cursed wondering hands, Miroku the demon exterminator (with hiraikotsu) whose younger brother is being controled. Sota is the little orphaned fox kit.

Ayame is the wolf demoness with the shards in her legs after 'her man', aka. Sesshomaru.

Sessh accidentally shatters the jewel of four souls and the hunt is on.

Etc....

(You can write the story like I've scribbled above if you wish)

Also, the colouring of people (eyecolour, haircolour, etc.) could remain the same, or be changed. It's optional.

Of course, you can twist the plot as well, so that it fits your purpose and gets the caracters you want together. Plot can 'veer of course' at any given time and doesn't have to be reversed (example: Naraku can be killed early on and replaced with another baddy of your choice......... OH, and I allow Naraku to have the same role he originally has if you wish him to - doesn't mean he has to though)

This can be a drabble series, a full-chapter series (mixed drabble-full too), whatever you want to make of it.

There is no word count, no chapter count on it, write as much as you wish.

Plot can be of your choosing (as long as it's Canon Universe), rating as well. Whatever floats you boat.

There is no deadline, so as long as you write it, I'm fine.

I think karma is given for those that enter challenges, so that'll be my reward for you too.

Oh, sadly I don't have a banner (as my drawing skills are on the minus scale... though, I'll work on that in the future). So, If anyone is willing to make one I'd be really grateful.

Do all of the characters have to have their roles reversed?

Not all, as I said, a few will be tolerated. Choose wisely though, imagine what fun it'll be to have them do things they wouldn't normally do.

Though, if you really want to, you can leave as much as you want as they are.
