(Now, the reason I'm posting this challenge is because I have a half-formed plunnie over here and have decided to offer it to you guys because it's still in an early enough stage that many other people could easily run with the basics and develop completely different stories)

Plunnie: Kagome must be haunted in some fashion, Sesshomaru must either be able/in a position to help her or have some ulterior motive for wanting to assist her. Naraku must be a supporting character, good, bad, neutral or the tale's antagonist is up to you. Other character appearances are entirely up to the author.

(The following specs are only a preference and do not need to be followed if you want to take part but find yourself crafting a story that doesn't fall within these lines.)

Preferred Rating: M/MA (though, for authors not comfortable writing mature content, any rating is acceptable), Li'l Freya does appreciate a good lemon or particularly juicy lime , but it isn't necessary, especially if you feel that it doesn't fit well within your story. *And, of course, please do not enter M/MA material if you're a YIM.

Preferred Setting: AU (modern era, or close to [again, this is only a preference- other time periods are perfectly acceptable, as well as CU]).

Category: One-shot or Chapter Stories (drabbles make Li'l Freya cranky, just ask Itsy).

Deadline: None at this time.

Those who participate will, of course, be provided with a banner.

Nicely spooky/chilling moments or scenes will earn the author Karma.

I can't participate in this, at least not right now anyways, but I do already have a Kagome being haunted one-shot. Check out my story, The Haunting of the Manor, if you wanna read it, though be warned it is poetry.

I think part of what largely fueled posting this challenge is decent ghost-spook withdrawal. I really love stories (be they written, tv show, documentary or movie) that can give me a chill.

Unfortunately, I think that I've desensitized myself to chill-inducing stories a bit because it's about all I indulge in XD

And didn't read this post until now hehe, but you don't like drabbles? The reason I ask is because one of the links I gave you, Jaken's Ballad, is a series of interconnected drabbles lol.

Well... It's not like I hate them, I don't mind reading them at all, but they do kind of vex me- especially with great writers- because I want to read more and there just .... isn't more to read, lol. I just figured that if this is my challenge I could at least ask that drabbles not be submitted for this.

Mind you, I used to dislike one-shots, too. Then I wrote one- thought I was going to have a mental breakdown during the process, lol. Won't catch me trying to write a Drabble though, I just don't think I could pull that off XD.

Okay, some participants have already begun contacting me (not just Rose XD) to request prompts. I don't mind this at all- especially since I asked people to do so if they needed to- but the ghost-plunnies will eventually all be given away, as I'm trying to offer different prompts to keep the stories individual where possible. This being said, if you would like to take part but need or want a 'haunting' prompt to get you going, please PM me just . . . sooner rather than later. Even if you don't work on the story for a long while yet, at least I'll know which plunnies have been claimed.

Yes, there will! I just didn't want to put anything together if there weren't going to be any participants. I have like 2 other people I'm waiting on to make entries into this, so it would be nice to have a reason to finally make the banner.
