The idea for the challenge came to me while I was driving (of all things).

We all know about songfics. Well, to put a spin on things, the challenge is to make a songfic/drabble (or song-centric or song-inspired story) based around the track listing of an album.

But the prompts of each chapter has to come from the equivalent track number (ie. Chapter 1 based around track 1, chapter 2 around track 2, etc.).

Drabble length: 500 words min.
And free-range as far as story rating and chapter length goes.

Also the choice of what album is yours. Just post the track listing, artist, and album name here in the thread.

EDIT: Also, if one of the album tracks is instrumental (where as most of the album may not be), you don't have to base a chapter around it (aka, skip it). But if you want, feel free to base a chapter around it too.

So, I'm considering this but was curious. If one or two of the tracks are purely instrumental should I still write a chapter trying to keep with the 'feel' or skip it?

Chapter Three: Short cause I decided to go with doing the Instrumental parts just to make it more challenging - guess the question earlier was moot.

oooo I like this I have been considering it for awhile because some albums just beg to make stories for behind the lyrics. Does it have to be a new fic entirely or can I continue from another with the theme?

Chapter Four: Liebestod

Another instrumental. There are 4 on the disk so I'm working through them best I can to fit how I feel they will. I may go back in the future and detail this plot out more and slow it down a bit, but it is what it is until then.

Yeah that was a challenge every album I chose gave me a sad ending it was so frustrating. But I found a good one with a nice pace.
