I am Lady Valkrye and I need help.
The story begins with Kagome leaving the group and has Kikyo stand in her place. She travels with the help of Kikyo's white snake demon like things, who feed off her energy. Eventually she enters a village that is dealing with an almost plague like problem that's been caused by Naraku's miasma. Occasionally, she also has encounters with Sesshoumaru, who praises her on her power. Kagome meets a young female bird hanyou who end up insulting her. Kagome protects her from Sesshoumaru.
Unfortunately I can't remember the rest. Or even the title and author. Please help. This story has been driving me insane. Thank you.

That story is Disowned, it was approximately 4-5 chapters. The reason I don't link it is because it was discontinued... But someone has decided to take it up! Here is the link to her 'edited' version. The 4-5 original chapters are basically the same with a few edits here and there. She branches off at chapter 6 and it hasn't been updated since (though it's clear she's working on it).
