Looking for an older fanfic where Kagome is dying because of the jewel (perhaps absorbing it) and in order to survive she becomes Sesshoumaru's mate? I know they like each other, but maybe Kagome was feeling like she was trapping him into it so she was refusing at first. But Sesshoumaru's mother helps them realize they should be together.

I've read one where she mates him not to survive but because she'd basically immortal thanks to the jewel and Inumama helps him by giving him a final shard they'd been looking for.
