I. Important Dates

Period of Eligibility: July 1 to September 30 of 2008
(a work must have been written/created/updated anytime between and including those two dates)

Nomination: October 5 to November 1
Polling: November 2 to November 15

The nominating and polling period may be extended in case there are technical difficulties.

A nominator is limited to only one nomination per category; any further nominations by a nominator into a category ie, multiple, substitute and/or alternate nominations will be rejected without comment.

A work's creator cannot selfnominate; these selfnominations will be rejected without comment.

All nominations that do not meet eligibility will be rejected without comment.

Nominations will be conducted through the website only. The link should be up sometime on Sunday.


IV. Forbidden Woks

NOTE: A nomination of prohibited work will be rejected. With respect to the First Place Winner Bans, stories cannot be renominated into the categories where they won the First Place award; however, they can be nominated into other, eligible categories. First Place Winner Bans are effected for three consecutive quarters.

It looks like all our categories are going to vote this time, thanks to the participation of all our wonderful members!

I know the nominations end tonight, however, I'm going to extend the nominating process a few days (until Wednesday) since it seems there are a few technical difficulties. Voting won't start until next Saturday/Sunday. (For future awards I see the need to amend the calendar somewhat to allow a week off between nominating and voting.)

Thank-you for the extension! I was wishing for more time...

Just remember, tomorrow will be the last day I'll accept nominations. Afterward, I'll compile a "final" version of the nominated stories and post them here. If you find problems, like a story being too old or new, let me know ASAP! From Thursday to Saturday I'll be doing a final round of checking the validity. Then Sunday we'll start polling (hopefully we can host the polls at this site, otherwise we'll have to use the dreaded yahoo group again )
