So, I recently had a really brilliant idea, and the conversation that spawned it went a little something like this:
Me: Man, I need to remind myself to update my website.
Self: You're gonna forget.
Me: It's just so much work!
Self: Lazy bum.
Me: Whatever. *checks website* Ugh. This needs a total revamp.
Self: Guess you'd better get to work then.
Me: Fine, I'll just do it and get it over with.
And then, two days later:
Me, as I fiddle with the forums on my Webs site: I've put more work into this forum than I have in this website.
Self: So ditch the website and start a forum.
Me: But that would be...
Self: Brilliant.
Me: Oh. It would be, wouldn't it?
And that's how I found myself searching online for free forum hosting websites. I've narrowed my search down to the one I want, and I also know that I want my forum to be a place where both original fiction
and fan fiction can be talked about no matter the genre or the fandom. But here's the problem: I've got no name for it.
So, Dokuga, I've come to you all for help. Below I've got three possibilities, and I'd like you all to post a vote for the name/motto combination that you like the best.
Ready? Vote!
The Nominees:
1. Marigold Fields Forums - Where passionate creativity flourishes.
Total Votes: 3
2. Ink Smudge Forums - Go ahead. Splash a little ink.
Total Votes: 23
3. Write Joy Forums - Because this is what we do.
Total Votes: 2
Personally, I find that I like all three of them, which is why I can't choose just one!
As for your votes, you're free to change your mind
one time, so that I don't get mixed up trying to keep track of who voted for what. Also, you may only
vote once, so don't try for multiples!
In the event that the most popular name isn't available, I'll choose the runner-up, and if none of them are available, then I suppose I'll have to get creative. *grin*
I'll keep this poll open for the rest of the month.
Your contribution is greatly appreciated and highly valued! I'm counting on you!
