So, I recently finished writing a (non-Inuyasha) one-shot. I've tried to upload it since Tuesday night, but I can never get past the first step in creating a new story, aka selecting the story category. After I click 'continue', I get a "Type 2 Error" message.
I did e-mail the error message to the e-mail address provided with the message, but here I am, 2 days later, still getting the same error...

I was wondering if it's just me, or if anyone else has run into problems trying upload a new story. : x

Nope- I just tried uploading a new chapter to one of my fics and I can upload and edit no problem, but when I go to the My Stories page and click on the edit link I get routed to an error message page.

I did email site support, but crap knows when they'll get around to fixing it.

I kept meaning to ask this, but I'd always forget. I'm glad I'm not the only one having this problem, I tried uploading last weekend and I couldn't do anything either. I've sent the email to the suport and still haven't received anything back from them.

I hope they get this resolved quickly, but seeing as it's already been a week I'm doubtful >_>

This was passed along to me. It works.

When you get to the error page, go to the URL and try deleting the word "property" and replacing it with "content". Of course, this only works for the "Type 2" error.

I tried the fix briefly, and it seems to work if you want to add a chapter to an existing story.

But so far it seems there is still no way to upload a completely new story on the site. (Which is what I'm primarily trying to do...)

ADDITIONAL NEWS - Apparently, it is possible to post a new story to a category other than IY, so if you don't want to wait for FanFiction.Net to sort itself out, you can upload your story into a different fandom... the edit it over into the correct one.

TO POST A NEW STORY
1. Post the story like normal in a category that is working--pick a random one that is small.
2. Go to My Stories, click on the story, and edit the category in Properties.
3. Click Submit. You will get an error message; don't worry about it. It has changed.
It should be noted that you cannot change the character filters after this until the problem has been fixed.
