Long answer: I write for a number of different reasons, but the big ones are as follows. I write because it's fun; I love building worlds and filling them with things and people and life and colors- it's like playing god for a while. I write because I really have a lot of ideas that will just rattle around in my head, bothering me, if I don't put them down on paper. And I write to find an escape from the daily pain of being human and lonely, because I'm living somewhere very, very far away from all of my friends.

Short answer: I write to have fun.

I write to read the story I want to read. But in the case of Dokuga, I have yet to write anything. So, haha, anyway, thank you.

The biggest reason I write is to produce stories that I would want to read. If there is a plot that I would love to see that hasn't been done, I write it and put it out there. If it's enjoyed, so be it. If it's not, at least I've amused myself.

Long version- I write to share with other my inner imagination and sometimes twisted personality.I enjoy the Sesshoumaru and Kagome Paring so much It is much like a fetish.I mostly write in hope that my story's will give inspiration to more stores and art work

Ohhhh for so very, very many reasons.

I suppose I write to improve my skills as an author, and to make sure my grammar/spelling/punctuation doesn't get rusty.

I also write because I enjoy art in almost every form, and I love the freedom of it. Anything we can imagine we can write about, and I do so love using my imagination.

I also, like r0o – and millions of others I’m sure – love canon pairings, and I’m thrilled to have an opportunity to explore all of the different scenarios I can think up for them. Writing is my portal into a world of fantasy – yeesh, that’s hokey – and in it I am free to do and say whatever I please! I can pair characters with whomever I want to, and no one can stop me!!! Ahahahahaaaaaa!

*deep, rasping breaths*

Ahem… that is why I write.

So, I guess to sum it all up... I write to oil the hinges of my imagination.

In short, I write to prove to myself that I can do it.

Ever since I was young, I've always had an active imagination. I often found myself sitting and daydreaming in the middle of school, or work and some of the greatest and craziest ideas would come to mind. My problem was always translating those ideas to paper, or in this case, word document lol. Some how, they never seemed to come out like I was imagining. Eventually I started writing in journals and such to clear my head when there were too many issues pressing on my mind. That lasted a few years but eventually I stopped writing again and focused myself on work. Then, about 3 years ago I started writing fanfiction. 90% of it was garbage and stuff that could never be published but I kept going. I published my first story on another sight about a year and a half ago and was very dismayed when it received very little response. But, I kept going, kept refining my skills and finally my twisted little mind came up with my crowning glory, a little story in progressed called "The Asylum". It's been a long road and it hasn't been easy but I think that's I've done an okay job so far and hope that I can continue to make my readers come back for more.

I write to appease the storyteller in me.

No, that doesn't mean I ate a storyteller.

I write to keep myself preoccupied/to keep myself from getting bored and because I enjoy doing it.

I write to breathe life into my imagination...and so that my imagination can breathe life into me.

I write to get these ideas out of my head so I can make room for more. It's practically overflowing up there. I also write because I love words.
