Hi, erm, i was wondering if anyone pierced their upper ear or cartilage, the piercing is located on the top not the bottom(lobe piercing). If anyone did mind sharing? i had my second one last month and its bleeding real bad now, anyone have any idea what should i do?

I have my upper pierced and it takes several months to heal.

Since it is a cartilage piercing there is not a lot of blood flow to the area so you are looking at a heal time of 6 to 8 months. If it is currently bleeding (went through mine bleeding for 4 months or so) apply ice to the area. If that doesn't work go back to the place where you got the piercing or call them, and ask for tips.

You could also trying loosing the earring slightly to relieve pressure.

It takes 6-12 months for it to fully heal. Also ice will work but what I really want you to know is if you want to re do the hole. You must wait about 6 months that's how long it take to heal without something keeping it open. I have 15 peircings including my eyebrow I did them all but the eye brow. Believe me when I say this it's better to leave it in since it's only going to hurt again next time you get it. It might even bleed the same amount. Everyones body is different. Hope I helped
