It thrills me to scroll through and see some of my favorite movies of all time listed repeatedly:

The Princess Bride, Labyrinth, Legend (though as a kid I had a crush on The Darkness, Tim Curry's big devil guy, rather than Tom Cruise. Still kind of do, come to it).

People even mentioned Moonstruck and the Quiet Man!!!

My "childhood" movies were a mixture of kids movies and things like Terminator and Die Hard. Sleeping Beauty was my Disney movie of choice when I was little. And although it came out when I was an adult, I could watch Spirited Away every day until I die.

More:
Ghostbusters
Ever After
Pride & Prejudice (1995 version with Colin Firth)

and if we want to go OLD:
Philadelphia Story
His Girl Friday(pretty much anything with Cary Grant honestly)
It happened one night
40 Carats (Its a rom com with an older woman and younger man, very cute and sweet)
Thoroughly Modern Millie (LOVE julie andrews)

Oh goodness there are so many movies that were mentioned that I loved growing up! Of course I have to add a few of my own.

- A League of Their Own--My all time favorite of course!
- Ferris Bueller's Day Off-- What teenager didn't think about doing what he did? lol
- The Aristocats-- One of my favorite Disney films!
-Robin Hood-- Another fav. Disney film!
- Dogma--Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, need I say more? Hilarious movie too!
-P.S I Love You
- Hook-- With Robin Williams as a grown up Peter Pan
- 10 Things I Hate About You-- Heath Ledger's younger days.
- The Ugly Truth

The list could go on and on. I'm a avid movie collector to the point my family and friends borrow from me! I'm my own personal Blockbuster!

My two unforgetable old movies are also my top two favorite ones.

Bringing Up Baby (Kathrine Hepburn and Cary Grant)
Darby O'Gill and the Little People (mmmmm Sean Connery)

I would add as a runner up, Pillow Talk (Doris Day and Rock Hudson)

Anchors Aweigh. Awesome movie with Frank Sinatra, whom I love above all others (except Sesshou-Maru and Kurama/Youko). There are some awesome songs and dances in that movie.

Also A Love Affair was a beautiful movie.

Oh, yes, I had forgotten The Philadelphia Story, a brilliant performance by the entire ensemble in that one. And Bringing Up Baby! Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn had the most wonderful chemistry. My favorite Disney movie is Sleeping Beauty. I don't want to scare you kids, but I saw it when it first came out... Pretty in Pink, The Princess Bride, Operation Petticoat, The Great Escape, The Hunt for Red October, South Pacific, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Star Wars Episode 4, I saw that so many times in the theater and then got my own copy. None of the other episodes were quite as good. There are so many good movies out there, so many I've seen and forgotten...

This is starting to make sense... time to up my medication.

I live in my own little world, but it\\\'s okay, they know me here.

Even if the voices are not real - they have some pretty good ideas!

I don\\\'t suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Everything I say is fully substantiated by my own opinion.

Until further notice, celebrate everything!

To the people who said they loved 'Beauty and the beast', good news(well depending on how you look at it) But Beauty and the beast will be coming out in theaters in 3D! It's coming out next year, no real release date yet, but it's rumored to be coming out around Valentines day. I can't wait to see this movie again, not only in the theaters but also in 3D!

I wonder if they are going to re-release any of the other classics(disney or not) or do them in 3D? It will be interesting if they do! But hopefully they don't re-do the movie and instead just restore it.

here's a trailer to the 3D version of 'Beauty and the beast':

I loved old movies, I was raised by my grandparents so I watched alot of them.

Bell, book and candle
Night of the Grizzly,
Mclintock,One of my fav quote of all time, " Hey Maacklin, good party, where's the whiskey?" the old indian chief to john wayne's character.

Favorite Movie of all time, Harvey, the Jimmy Stewart movie where he has the invisible giant rabbit friend.

more modern favorite movies, The land before time, i remember being in high school and my best friend and i made her niece go with us so we wouldn't feel stupid. lol

Dracula, the Gary Oldman version

I remember watching the hobbit as a child, and Golem always gave me nightmares. I grew up watching scary movies with my father, and my daddy (my grampa, kinda hard to stop calling the people who raised you momma and daddy, after 18 yrs )

and Glory, i loved that movie, it was excellent.
