Where is it held? If it's outside NYC, there's no way I could make it. Oh, poo. However, there is the NY Anime Festival/Comic Con in October. I'll definitely go to that.

I won't be going to AX this year, but I shall be going to the one next year!

DX I wish I could go! I know some of my friends are, but I would never be able to afford the airline ticket to fly across the country... So I'm thinking of checking out Otakon with another friend of mine (anybody doing that?). I'm not sure though, since I've never been to an anime (much less anything else) convention before...

I'm planning on hitting up Expo again this year for the third time, if I can find housing. I've got relatives I usually room with, but housing is a little iffy at that particular moment... I'll find out in a month or so if I'll be able to make it. ^_^ If so, we shall have to set a time and a place to meet up! C:

I went to AX in 2007. It was my first and so far only time out to California. We want to go back, but not sure we want to how it's set up now.

This year we're taking our 3rd trip to Anime Central in Chicago! Only about a week away now!! XD

hey speaking of airtravl to diff places has anyone ever flown on jetblue... my cousin is having a wedding in jamaica and so far they are the best for a direct trip.

My fav part of going to anime conventions is the cosplay. The costume that people recreate are so awesome.

SKIN was 2008.

Last year was Moi Di Moix, auncia, and Morning Musume.

BUT... I will be going this year. I have a room at the Westin Bonaventure. I will be flying in on June 30th for the con and leaving July 5th.

I've been saving money for it since A-Kon in Dallas last June. Not cheap. Cost me about $800 for the airline ticket/hotel through Priceline... which was still a lot cheaper than booking the hotel through the con. Booking through the con would have cost me around 750 just for the same hotel room. The cheapest one would have cost me 550 before taxes. By using a service like priceline, I dropped the hotel down to under 400 after taxes for 5 nights.

If anyone is interested in trying to make that trip and they have to fly, its definitely worth looking in to to do it that way.

I will be dressed as Dr. Stein from 'Soul Eater'... at least for one day. It depends on how hot it is going to be... I wore my Stein costume to A-Kon about a month ago, and I thought I was going to die...it was so HOT...contrary to popular belief, lab coats are not cool.

I know in the pic, that he is not wearing his lab coat, but for anyone who does not watch the show, trust me, he wears it most of the time.

Also, I am going to have to leave my scythe at home... don't really look forward to having to explain all the PVC pipe to airport security...

I have check into the hotel, and am now going to get my badge....after a jaunt over to Little Tokyo.

As for tomorrow, I will probably be the only Professor Stein who will be wearing THIS badge on the breast of my lab coat.

I have been looking for you guys...Haven't seen anyone with a purple umbrella with a tongue, and the only person I've seen with a violin, is one of the vendors in the artist alley..

ANYWHOO, if anyone wants to find me, I am the ONLY Dr Stein carrying a 6 ft tall black cross...I couldn't bring the blade part with me (too big to transport) I am also wearing the Dokuga badge above on my lab coat.

Would love to meek up with fellow Dokugans.

I'm not there, but I expect scads of pictures from all y'all. I wanna see those bad boys!
