I'm basically in tears right now and I'm alone home and I guess I just need to vent off. I've been having these very strange head pains and I have quite urgently been scheduled to get head scans and I'm terrified out of my mind. I can't even bring myself to type what are the possible answers to those pains.
So tomorrow very early I have to go and I'm so stress I'm crying and I'm throwing up. I doubt I'll be able to sleep. But anything I do increase the pain.
I guess I needed to share this because I'm a mess right now.

Oh Maddie *huggs* I'll be praying for you.
Hopefully it's nothing. Crying sometimes make the head hurt more, but I understand you're afraid right now and can't help but cry. Maybe you should call someone to spend the night with you. You know keep you company and keep your mind a little occupied.

Akay has a very wise suggestion there. This is a time you need a friend with you. And the crying and throwing up will definitely be detrimental to how you're feeling.
I will keep you in my prayers, Madison.
Now, you need to relax,so try to find a comfortable position and do some deep, relaxing breathing. Concentrate on nothing. To quote my sensei, you can't keep your brain from thinking, but you don't have to listen to your thoughts. Just let them go.

I want you to know that you are not alone. I too have had several worrying health issues. When I was younger (and even to this day though not to such an extreme) I had severe, frequent migraines. My mother is a nurse and she was extremely worried about my health. I went to see a neurological specialist and got some head scans done. In the end I didn't have anything worrysome but the stress from the situation left a vivid impression on me.
I remember worrying about what could be wrong with me and the situations just seemed to warp out of control and become worse every time I touched upon them. I also felt very alone because my mother, who was my rock, was so very worried herself. No matter what, we here at Dokuga are family and as such, we are here for you. I'm going to p.m. you my number. My phone is always on and by my side. If you need someone to talk to, someone just to be there for you and listen to your concerns, call me. Any hour of the day, your call is always welcome.
Keep me updated. Jen a.k.a Chaos

Last night I took the sleeping pills they prescribed me, but, one of the side effect was nausea. Considering that fact I was already sick, it didn't help, and until 3am, I was basically on the floor of the washroom. I managed to get an hour or two of sleep.
Thank you every one for you kind words, I'm a little teary right now.
I just got back from the hospital. They did a lot of test, and they kept not finding anything. I have a history of migraines. Anything gives me the worst headaches, but this was different. After even blood work, and the head scans, they they didn't find anything.
Up until about 1 hour ago. ALL the muscles in my neck have a problem. Muscle spasms. Nothing could relieve me from my pain, not even Tylenol, or what not, because you always move your neck, and there is not one single position that felt better because all my muscles suffer the same problem.
Basically, I will have this pain for at least a month, if I take all the pills and pain killers, and get it massage 4 times a day. The headache will leave, in like I said about a couple of weeks, but chances are, I wont be able to get rid of the spasms. I'll just have to learn to be careful with my neck.
There are about 3 people in my family that died of brain tumors, so I must say I am relieved that it's not that. Now I can only hope the pain will go away soon, because my vision and concentration is greatly affected.
Thank you everyone for you kind work. It really really means a lot to me. And now I'm crying, shhs. Thank you.

I'm glad it seems like no issue, but if cancer runs in the family it might be wise to be checked once a year, or once every six months if you feel the need.
As for spasms, have you tried a heating pad on the back of your neck? Those help me

You should try acupuncture for your neck...my father has terrible osteoarthritis in his neck which caused him to almost not be able to work...he started acupuncture and while he still has pain it is 100% better than what it was...I'm relieved that they didn't find anything and send my biggest get well wishes to you!!!

Trouble_In_Shangri_la;
I actually didn't know about heating pad, but that might be a good idea. Right now the pain is not so bad, but I've taken 4 different type of pain killer, so my brain is pretty mushy.
The tumors do run in the family, so does migraine, but this was actually the first time for me to get checked, with scan. But you're right, I should go more often. Thank you *hugs*
Daniella:
I have heard about acupuncture, and you know, I would be very interested. I would need to find a place around here though. I'm relieve to that they didn't find anything. Thank you for the wishes. As long as I remained on all these pills for a while, I should be okay, lol.

Do your homework and really research a place. It took my father almost 3 months to find one he was comfortable with but in the end it paid off. Both he and my mother go once a week now for treatments and they really really do help!

Madison, the heating pad will help or a 'Bed Buddy' that you microwave to heat it up and wrap around your neck. I use those a lot. Just try to relax and concentrate on your breathing. That can also help.

I have had migraines for years, I can't take most drugs for migraines because of my heart issues. I found at the Daytona Beach Flea market,a booth called Herbs by merlin, and they had a headache tea, I decided to try it, and it works, tastes terrible, but I started mixing it with mint tea, and it helped a great deal. The mint helps settle the stomach from the nausea, I use this all the time I get migraines from my meds for my heart, I am on blood thinners, and this tea has no reactions with my meds or heart. You can order it online from Herbsbymerlin.com, it is rather expensive but it works, I use alot of their teas for other things too. I hope this helps you darling, and remember rest is a must. Good luck and take care.

Have you ever heard about Orthogel? I discovered it when I was working in my employee health clinic and the doctor was using it on her patients. It works wonderfully and all you do is rub the gel over your neck and it helps relieve pain. It doesn't have harsh chemicals and is, I believe, made from natural ingredients. I've used it for a while and it always helps me with my pains.
I, too, suffer from migraines, and they didn't start until I was in a car accident. Not only are they awful, but thinking about yours makes me hurt for you. I hope that you feel better soon.

Sorry to hear about your pain Madison, I've had migrains since I was about 8 years old (i'm 37 now) and recently I was put on Topomax, it helped, but it does have side effects, tingling, thirst, weight loss, etc...but it might be something to talk to your neurologiest about. I wish you many pain free days. Hope all works out well for you.

Daniella - I'm doing just that right now :3. I'm calling, and looking into differently places, and asking people I know.
Knifethrower - Thank you. I hope so too. Well, the good is, the pain killers usually knock me right out, so I am getting sleep.
Rowdys Girl - Thank you! I've never heard of a Bed Buddy, but I'm willing to try anything! I'll look into it!
Kogasangel - I have never heard of Orthogel before, but I'll also add it to my list. I'm going to try anything to stop this pain, or to at least find an alternative to the pain killers. Drugs isn't my strong suit.
Tataru - Topomax is not something I'm familiar with. I don't really mind the side effects, especially since my current pain killers have some. As long as it's not extreme. I will also look out, and ask for that! Thank you :3

It could be migraine.
Having migraine myself, I know how painful it was. One thing do help though, stay off the computer screen for some time and somehow, you will feel better for a while. Take lots of rest and don't think too much about it. XD Get some sleep. It's really important. It helps a lot.
Take care.

I hope you're feeling better today Madison!!! I have had a migrane for two days now so I can sort of sympathize with your pain. Hopefully you'll find something that helps you out there are a lot of non-medicinal options out there it just takes longer to find them!!!

Yeah, staring at the screen will only make the headache worse. I believe it's because migraine is somehow linked to the vision - to the sensitivity to light especially. For a few years now I have been unable to leave the house in the summer without my hat, because even the sunlight will give me a headache! (I suppose it has to do with the brightness...)
I've never been actually diagnosed with migraine myself, but I have little doubt that what I have is anything else - I've been getting headaches rather frequently since I was a kid, and I still do. Just last week I had headache three days in a row. And usually the headaches are triggered by the lack of sleep, so the connection is evident.
In any case, I hope all the best to you, Madison, good luck for trying out different tricks! I hope you'll find a way to ease the pain. :3 *hugs*

Madison,
I bought my bed buddy at a store called Meijers, but i think they're only in Michigan and Ohio. You should be able to find them at any drugstore though. Just don't overheat it in the microwave. You can also get microwaveable hot packs at Bed, Bath and Beyond. They sell one there that is made for sinus headaches.
Good luck, sweetie.

Did the doctor ask you what you have eaten lately, and if you ate anything unusual to you, or anything in greater amounts than you are accustomed to? Fruits and fruit drinks, and products like gummie candies or candies flavored with fruit juice can contain large amounts of phyto-estrogens. Estrogens can trigger headaches and nausea, to the extent of epileptic or brain tumor-like symptoms, including seeing auras, light sensitivity, nausea, and tremors of limbs. This is one reason why some migranes are linked to hormonal cycles. Some of the things that I avoid because the effects of consuming too much are: Hawaiian Punch-type drinks, those natural fruit flavored Black Forest fruit snacks, Life Savers Sour Gummies, and Simply Lemon lemonaide (they squeeze the lemon peel, unlike lemonaide you make yourself at home). Of two friends of mine who did not normally have migranes, and they appeared suddenly, one suddenly drank a large quantity of fruit punch, another drank a large amount of Simply Lemon. The first incident I had was when I was given a prescription for a different kind of birth control pills.
