Thank you so very much for everyone's kind words and suggestions for the kids. I am forcing them to sell their Wii as punishment for ruining my computer. All proceeds shall go towards a new laptop, of course. One they will not be allowed near....EVER.

And, in answer to an earlier inquiry, the comp received a proper burial in the backyard today. AND my friend managed to salvage most of the data on the hard drive. Thank god for the techies out there!

Hopefully you can get everything straightened out soon. I cried like a baby when my old laptop met it's demise with a can of Diet Pepsi.

My kids decided the next step in treating my fanfic addiction was some tough love and they spilled water on my laptop, effectively ending its life very cruelly. So, therefore, I will be on a forced leave of absence from my fics and from beta-ing for a time. At least until I can get a new computer....

If you sent me anything to work on, I finished it, but you can't get it back. Sorry!

I'll be checking in from time to time, but I won't be good for much more than that.

Have the children wash cars, walk dogs, dig ditches, shovel snow, rake leaves, chop firewood, etc. until they can pay for a new laptop.

Added bonus, they will be too tired to bug you while you use it!

Wow, that sucks... I know what it's like to be without a computer. I had suffered over three weeks without one until a cousin was kind enough to lend me hers on Sunday (God bless that woman!).

Though you won't be on this site as often as you have been, it's great to know that you'll still be checking in from time to time. *Hugs* You're a wonderful person, you know that?

And when you do get your new computer, be sure to keep it hidden from your children. lol. We wouldn't want anything to happen to that one.

Where will i get my LC fix? Its ok i understand. I went without for a few weeks too a few month back. I will tell you now. The addiction doesnt fade.

In all the years I've been addicted to fan fiction, I believe I've only spent about seven days in a row away - due to a power outage. And my family laughed at me. They don't get it. Hope your woes are SOON behind you!!!
