Greetings Dokuga!!!

It’s that time of year again, when we come to our members with our hands out, begging for monetary support. This year is particularly tough, since we haven’t had the steady trickle we had last year.

As of now, we have $190.00 in our account.

We have hosting renewal coming up in May, to the tune of $234.00 per month. I haven’t received any notification of a change in rates - which is good - so we can assume that our hosting will be the same as the past several years. Yay!

BUT, we only have a couple months to raise a bunch of money to pay it in advance. If we fall short of the $2,808 that we need for a full year, it means that we’ll have to do fundraising again as the need arises.

In case no one’s noticed, though, I feel the need to point out how secure and reliable our hosting has been in all the time we’ve been with our current provider, LiquidWeb. I can only remember ONE instance in the past year that we have been down for any length of time... and that was for only a short while. These folks obviously know what they’re doing!

Given the lack of time and personnel, we’ve forgone the usual banners and support page updates - I’m so sorry! I’m just hoping that all our members will be able to donate, at least, $5.00 to the cause. We have no less than 2,000 members logged in at any given time, so that would definitely put us over the top, yes? YES!

Anyway, please consider donating some of your hard-earned funds to our dear Dokuga so that we can go on hosting the best, most wonderful stories and art in the entire Sess/Kag world!

As our lovely new Admin, Kagome Yuki Niwa, has announced, we have a supporter banner! All we need now is for our donors to message me with their names so we can put it in their profiles. Unfortunately, PayPal doesn't give me the option to reply to all the notices anymore, so I will need you to get back to me if you want the banner. OR, you could contact Kagome Yuki Niwa with your names for the banner, since she's handling the personalization and insertion into the profiles... let's give her a BIG hand for jumping in like this!!!!!!!

It's not too bad, it would be better if his momma had a job too, but with my work and class and class schedule she could only actually work about 1 day a week.

That's what happened with us, plus the bonus of DH's out of town travel. FUN STUFF! Well, might have been for him, but I was home 24/7 with creatures that could barely speak English most of the time, LOL!

Oh, he loves telling his life story. Not that anyone but him can understand what he's saying. Either way, hoping once classes are over and the second job picks up I should have some spare cash lying around.

So if you have around 2000 people logging in... That means if 1/4 (so 500) of those people each donated $5, you'd be set for the year?

I don't have a lot, but yup I can manage that much. I don't frequent this place anywhere near as much as I used to, but even now I still find that it's a good place to come and read quality fics or oogle pretty art of my favourite pairing when life is being a pain. So certainly worth giving something back to each year <3
