I wanted to say I love the bat's from October, so did my almost 3 yr old grandson, he sat on my laptop for 4 hours just moving the cursor the sunday before halloween. He thought it was a game i suppose but he was tickled by them. so were my kittens at home, they would pounce my laptop to try to catch them. lol

I'm glad they were enjoyed... and just wait until closer to Christmas... we'll have yet another holiday fun thing on the Home page!

Looking foward to our yearly visit from the bats this year, I was thinking about how in December we have snowflakes that drift through our Dokuga home page and wondering if it was difficult to create a similar theme using dropping leaves for November? IDK, it was just something that came to me and not being a programmer or expert in the works of websites and whatnot, I thought I'd ask. I also realize there may be the issue of time.

The bats and the snowflakes in December are part of a Joomla! module that Miss K added to the site when she built it. Not being conversant with Joomla! or having any idea how to install new modules, those are the only special effects that we've enabled.

We do have the option to enable one for fireworks... like for the 4th of July... but we haven't enabled that yet, since we're a multinational site.

Believe me, if we had modules for other special effects, I'd be happy to enable them for you!

Don't feel bad, unless you use the home page, they're pretty easy to miss. The bats are around for October, then the snow for December into a little of January. Just a way to have a little fun when you visit - despite poor r0o's aversion to them!

They chase me too. Clicked on on by accident more times than I can count.

So I actually just got back on after having wisdom teeth surgery ( heavily medicated fyi) and I may or may not have played with the bats for like an hour.

I love the bats! Very nostalgic. I miss talking to all the old chat "regulars" from back in the day!
p.s. Does the chat even work anymore? It doesn't load for me and I'd love to catch up with everyone and have people to talk Sess/Kag with

It worked for me, but it seemed like the "skin" was down. Someone, I can't remember who exactly ( maybe Wiccan? :/), told me not a lot of people get on anymore. If that's the case it be nice to see that become popular again. From what people have posted and said, it sounded like good time.

I'm not sure what's up with chat... I never was big into it in the first place, and tended to avoid it at all costs, LOL! I will PM Mith and see if he can figure out what's up with it, since it's purely due to his generosity that we still have chat (yes, I'm leaking secrets, but he really is quite the treasure, y'know?).
