I'm confused as to why Kagome would be surprised about that. He wants to destroy all youkai and that includes civilians. Maybe with her in charge now, it will stop that genocide and maybe even word about her will get out. At the very least the youkai there will learn to respect her and take that with them. A step in the right direction, but still not free yet. I can't wait to see what happens next and the destruction that takes place when Sesshoumaru finally finds her :)

I'm really enjoying this. I do have 1 correction though, weariness (weary) essentially means tired, wariness (wary) means cautious, etc. You may want to look them up & if the guards aren't some form of tired change it.

The hidden message was ingenious! How very cleverly put together it was. Your portrayal of Sesshomaru's demeanor while in battle was beautifully haunting. The blood that was not his own, smeared upon his person - well done and written. I can easily see the pictures you have painted with your words. A truly amazing piece of work. 

Congradulations! The nomination is well deserved. It honestly one of the best stories out there. You already know how I feel about it. I sincerely hope you win.

Also, lovely chapter. It was nice to see Kagome fight back a little and that she hasn't given up hope. I also like that fact that you have allowed Kagome to be a POW and not rushed her rescue. I know. That sounds strange but I believe that really makes the story believable. I can't stand it sometimes when Kagome get kidnapped and is recued the same day.

Realistically, that rarely happens.

I'm glad she was reunited with Shin as well. I enjoy his character. Things seem to be progressing well.

THIS IS THE BEST FANFICTION EVER.

That awkward moment when I was watching a documentary about Hitler and the camps... I think this story is going to go greatly now that your spending more time on each time zone. It's alsp showing the development in Sesshomaru's feelings for Kagome, the only thing is, I wonder about how Kagome feels about escaping. Like we as the audence know she has to stay because the shikon wants to her, but how does she feel about Sesshomaru and being held their for a year? I want to say that from here I can predict whats going to happen but truth be told, I cant because Im just curious as to if your going to follow history or if your going to spin it.

This story keeps me on my toes and I love it.  I did not see this turn of events but I love it all the same.  I like that you made Yamato a dynamic person with a human heart.  It makes for an great  story.  I look forward to reading more.

Poor Kagome. I'm really hoping that someone maybe sensed her increasing and using her powers. Then word somehow gets back to Sesshoumaru. I feel like it would be too much to hope that Yamamoto releases her. Maybe using the excuse that he no longer has need of her. I wonder if Sesshoumaru will last if he doesn't change the war. I can't wait to see what happens next :)

I am enjoying this immensely! As a history major I find the twists fascinating! Please keep going.
