Good for Kagome!

Honestly, I can't beleive no one tried to help Chika, but it must be the norm. How awful to be used so degradingly and especially in front of everyone. How did Kura mange to become the "leader" ? Is it power, or her position of birth (i.e. lady of a domain)? Now that Kagome has sort of taken over the rank from Kura, I wonder how Kura will react?

I also wonder, can a couple from different ranks mate? Like one from Mu and one from Tsu mate? or is it forbidden too?

Loved how you made Sesshomaru worry for Kagome even though macho male he is denies he was worried, and yet he was angry that she might be taken advantage of and angry that she saw through him! He wants to remain hidden like a turtle and yet still wants to get close to her and learn more about Kagome and how she affects him.

Hm, I just realized (after I reviewed on ff.net), that Sesshomaru hesitated in letting in Kagome into his office. I could see this as metaphorical since he doesn't want his heart woken up and Kagome is waking up his heart and entering into his heart. I wonder if he even understands why he let her in his study when its obvious (by the behavior of the maid) that he doesn't let many into his study unless its for business (like an alliance or the such).

Also, if the prince is assigned to patrol after the 200 year mark, what happens if there are no pups/prince to do so and there is only one Lord but no prince? Like let's say for example, Sesshomaru is 800 years old. At 200 he would have started the patroling, and Inu wasn't born until Sesshomaru was 600 (so Inu Taisho dies when Sesshomaru is 60). So technically, Sesshomaru is the Lord and Inu was a pup. So in the 200 years until Inu was able to take up patroling, how did Sesshomaru patrol and be the "host" for gatherings and the such?

Also, I can see right now that Kagome is going to be making some major enemies. While she tries to change some the corruption and befriend some of the youkai and the ranks, I'm sure there are other youkai (not just demonesses) that enjoy flaunting their rank above others and will not "lower" themselves and yet to see Kagome do it just because it's her way, would make them insanely jealous. Wonder if this will provide a way for Sesshomaru to "rescue" Kagome or if she will turn the entire culture on its ear!

Perhaps i was doomed the moment i started reading  chapter one ...because by the end of chapter one i have fallen in love with this story. And it was not odd that almost everyday i looked up for new chapters and everytime there was i was reading your story with happiness.  The tension and bewilderment of kagome as she came to learn about a new world than the one she was used to living in. The dread and hope as she attempts to find the good in a world that has harden sesshomaru and a world that has torn inuyasha down. A 21st century girl living in a world 500 years in the past. Very well done...i look forward to new chapters. Big fan.

I have to say that I love this confident Kagome who is sure of her abilities but at the same time still delicate in how she handles matters. I'm totally in love with this story and we are only 7 chapters in! Can't wait for the next chapter.
