Anyway, it's nice that Kagome is thinking of him in a friendly way! That's very sweet, really, now that they are progressing nicely. I am glad to see her opening up bit by bit to talk to him, and they can finally achieve some level of conversation without either party feeling as if they need to escape the room. It's great progress sweetheart! :) Then there was this particular line:

He couldn't go and do as he pleased. The only thing he could do was allow her to come when she needed it.

Now, that was perfect. It speaks volumes of their relationship, and I hope there would come a day when he could go and do as he pleased. Awww the way Sesshoumaru steals glances at Kagome is really, really ADORABLE!!! *squeals* I know this fic is darker in nature, and holds deeper themes of living strongly after suffering, but these fluffy moments still make me a very happy reader.

OMG OMG OMG when Sesshoumaru's eyes narrowed upon seeing the doctor's hands on Kagome...well, THAT IS LOVE!!! WOOHOO! I feel silly for picking out small details and going all happy over it but OMG OMG I love a jealous Sesshoumaru! But of course, I knew something bad was going to happen, and true enough...poor Kiyoshi. Just what is wrong with the little thing? (T.T) I feel so sorry for him; it seems as if he has been suffering all the time.

Oh god...now my heart feels as if someone stabbed it. The poor little thing has been fighting for himself the entire time and forcing himself to develop faster?? That's heartbreaking, my dear. Really, heartbreaking.

Then came the final scene which probably blew everyone away. It was so full of raw emotion; I found myself staring at the screen and tearing up. I barely cry when I read fanfiction, but this really did the trick. That scene at the end was gorgeous; I cannot imagine Sesshoumaru bowing down to anyone, but your fic changed my mind. It really takes a lot for him to do something like that, and I think you did a fantastic job. Wonderful, darling, just wonderful. It's painful, beautiful and hopeful at the same time. It reflects sooooo much effort on your part in writing this story. The plot alone is good enough. On top of that, I am kept guessing once again as to what Kiyoshi might turn out to be! He sure is a little mystery!

Honestly, can't wait for MORE!!!!

I know it kinda late in the story since I'm just barely reading it and I may be going unrealistic because I never been exposes to rape victims, but aaaaaaah!!!! Stop making her over think things!!!!  There are two people working in his body and he looks different than from when his beast raped her, she should know better than that!! Even if Sesshomaru looked similar she should know how it felt like with Kikyo was compared to her since they look similar too.  Again, I know I'm kinda late on the whole reviewing ch. 33 at the appropiate time but I felt the need to rant on the subject of this story.  Sorry if I should be more sensitve about her situation but this is a story and the rant is just something that had to be said on my part as a reader that wants the relationship to progress damnit, I don't mean to offend anyone.

This chapter was amazing! I loved it because this is when they start developing feeling for each other. The part when Sesshomaru brushes Kagome's bangs  is really cute. All the parts when Sesshomaru and Kagome are close together are touching. But what really got me curious was... what was in Sesshomaru's briefcase? And I can't wait for the baby to come!!!! :3

GAH! i FINALLY caught up! I was up till 4 am reading yesterday before kicking myself off the computer 9it was really hard to do) and left the last two for tonight, 8 chapters in all. *_* This is what happens when i'm away for two weeks then don't get caught up. But I really love your fic!

WOw a lot happened, and yay for Kouga being alive, part of me knew he's have the shared. I'm glad he didn't come with. And the whole last scene with the beast and then sessh. kissing her was great. I was going 'haha you're screwed now.' the start of confused emotion yay. And this last chapter I loved. Ah I can't wait to see what happens next. That was some really nice develpoment. This chapter was amazing!! Incredible!!! Unbelievable!!!

Somehow, I have this funny feeling that perhaps some of the feelings of the beast are starting to get shared between him and Sesshomaru.

But in all honesty, to have Sesshomaru kiss Kagome was like the most amazing moment ever!! Even if he later didn't want to admit to doing it, even if he is doubting himself, even if he thinks he shouldn't!

I know there are men out there who don't give a damn about their children, or the mother of their children. Men who can abandon a woman while she is pregnant without giving a second thought. But Sesshomaru has honor, and with honor comes many other things, a sense of responsability and the knowledge that this child is also his, he is responsible as well for bringing this life into the world, and while knowing that perhaps the mother might not want him around or near her, he still feels responsible for seeing to the wellbeing of her and his child, because it's impossible to separate them, in order to look after the baby, he has to look after the mother, and that is exactly what he is doing! But along the way he is finding that things can go beyond just a sense of responsability, he can develope closenes, tenderness, caring feelings that will make him want to be closer not only to the baby, but to the mother as well.

It is so touching! So endearing how little by little he is starting to develop those feelings towards Kagome. How a little touch can bring him comfort, and how he finds himself wanting that interaction!! It is just so beautiful!!

I am glad that Kagome is starting to realize that in order to forgive she needs to do it fully, that she cannot forgive Sesshomaru and leave his beast behind. She needs to come to terms with what the beast did and the reasons behind it.

You are a bit evil! You never said whether Kagome ever opened Sesshomaru's suitcase! And what did she found inside!! Now I am curious as hell to know if she did!!

I am glad that Sess found a Youkai Dr for Kagome!! I think that at this point is very, very important that she gets looked at. I am hoping that everything is ok.

Sessh is so cute when he moves Kagome's bangs out of her face! I think little things like this are happening more and more often because of the connection he is developing to both his son and Kagome.

When they formed the connection I was a bit surprised that she took the initiative and kissed Sesshomaru on her own. I wonder why she never seems to think back upon this.

I loved the way Sessh made her understand how different things can be seen in different ways by different people due to culture, education, time, etc.

So many times I see things on the internet that people in other countries/cultures do as part of their every day life that I consider bizarre and I could never see myself doing! But for them is completely normal! Just because I consider it abnormal, it doesn't make it so.

I hope this will make her understand the beast a bit more and help her begin to heal!

As you said, she needs to move forward, and I hope that this kind of interactions between her and Sessh will help her.

Sesshomaru is just a darling! I am hoping that he will not get spooked and stop trying to get closer to Kagome. It seems that he has been alone for far too long.

funniest line i've heard in awhile " Come for your Alpha" omg.

Maddie, this chapter was beautiful in so many ways.  Sesshoumaru is so conflicted within himself and it is creating this great dynamic.  He doesn't understand what it is he is feeling and he doesn't understand why he is feeling it. The more he tries to ignore it the worse it is going to be.  He really needs to sit down with himself and do some thinking.  He doesn't know what he wants on the surface but deep down inside he knows that he wants something more with Kagome.  I honestly think he's afraid.  He's afraid of his feelings, afraid of the future and afraid of her reaction.  He doesn't realize yet that Kagome is feeling the same things but then she doesn't get it yet either.

I think it would be a good idea for Kagome to ask him some questions about himself.  Like she said she knows nothing of his life now and I think it would be good for them to get that out in the open.  We know he owns a business but beyond that we know nothing.  It would be a big step in moving forward for both of them.  I do wonder though if she managed to take a peek in that suitcase of his hehehe.

I wonder how Kagome is going to react when she finds out he's got a doctor coming over to examine her.  Hopefully she'll be greatful and the doctor will be able to provide answers to what is going on with Kiyoshi and also how much longer before he makes his appearance in the world.  I have a funny feeling it's going to be very very soon.

I think this was my favorite dream experience yet!  I was very surprised when she asked him for a kiss but I was glad he didn't turn her away.  It was nice for her to be able to see the differences and similarities in the situations.  It's time she started looking at things from a different perspective. What was a normal thing for her would not be normal to someone in the fuedal era and vice versa.  Maybe now she'll understand the beasts actions a little more.  They were normal for him and in his mind he didn't do anything wrong with his treatment of Kagome in the past.  Once she realizes that I think he'll be able to move forward a little easier.

Kagome actively seeking comfort from Sesshoumaru was monumental.  While she might not have fully realized who it was in the back of her mind she knew and she wanted and needed his comfort.  I know he doesn't have much experience giving comfort but I think he did just enough.  I was almost waiting for him to lie down next to her and hold her while she slept but I think that would have been a little much for Kagome to take. I think it's coming though and soon.

Now, I want to send all of my best wishes to you and your family that your grandmother gets better soon.  I will keep you in my thoughts and if you need to talk just let me know!!!  **Big Huggs** and best wishes as always!!

AHA! Now we are at the stage whereby he starts thinking "I love her, I love her not"!! I love it when Sesshoumaru is in this stage; a lot of fics jump into the unexplained attraction phase, which is nice and hot to read as well, but lacks the charm which a long, drawn-out romance can provide. And in his dilemma, he comes to a conclusion with the "SHE IS TECHNICALLY MY MATE" line, which is an absolute AWWWWW-moment. When he does that, we know very well, he is totally in the Kagome trap already. LOL. How cute of him! *rushes to give Sesshy pictures big kisses*

Giving each other some private time is actually a good choice, isn't it? After what just happened, I am sure dear Sesshy needs to cool his pretty head. Kagome is not dumb (at least in this fic, LOL), so she is making good progress on her part!! I like how she concludes he has a heart, which is not exactly too compassionate, but still, is soft in certain areas. HAPPINESS @ Kagome FINALLY acknowledging those fading grudges; I am really glad she did so, else I'd go crazy from wanting to grab her and give her a good shake. I LOVE IT WHEN YOU ADDED THIS LINE ---> "Who was Sesshoumaru?" Three words, so simple in its structure, but holding a ton of meaning behind. I do agree, it's a very, very good question. And in reply to this, I want to tell Kagome...well, GO FIND OUT, GIRL!!! You can do it!!! He is starting to develop feelings, so it is the best time to chip at the ice to reveal the marshmallow center...

It's sweet of him to be so caring for her with tiny little gestures like buying food, giving her space, etc. Because, in my opinion, I think the nicest things are not enormous bouquets of 999 roses or grand declarations of love, but small thoughtful acts. He fulfilled that, and it is terribly adorable of him. 

And YAYYYYY!!!! PHYSICAL CONTACT!! Please let them go on like that, Maddie dear. You know how much I love it when you make them progress, and I love Blood Stained and I love you tooooo!! If I can, I'd try to do more fanart for this story of yours! It's gorgeous:)

Thank you for updating this story. It haas been awhile! Im starting to think that Sesshoumaru has finally developed some sort of feelings for Kagome no matter how much he tries to deny it. This is good because it means that he will do everything in his power to help her and maybe (later on in the future) woo her. Sorry I had to say that word because I like it! The part that I cant wait for is when Kagome finally has her baby. I want to see how the relationship changes between Sesshoumaru and Kagome. Thats going to be interesting. Thank you for thsi chapter and try not to wait to long to post the next one! see you later!

Okay so I've been going back and rereading the earlier chapters... when stories are this long, I sometimes like to go back and reread so I dont forget hints and other important details that authors illude to.

I've been thinking about Kagome's illness... and I'm think it isn't all the baby. In chapter 1, 2 or 3 Kagome experienced the same pain when seperated from Sesshomaru, later in the story he tells her she is not yet pregnant.

Something else I'm currious about is in chapter 20 the beast was very disturbed at the thought that perhaps Kagome was not pleased with his body. She accurately thought that he was perhaps self consious. I'm wondering if there will be reference to this again later. Is Sessho still self consious about his physic because of Kagome's rejection of him, even though he now understands why?

And what ever happened when he said that the beast and the man were merging? In much later chapters there is illuding that sometimes the beast can effect sesshomaru even with the bracelet... are they still merging in spite of the watch?

One thing that confused me in this chapter: Kagome saying that in order to move on she would need to learn to not be afraid of intimacy. She started contimplating how to go about doing that and the only person she could think to do so, was Sesshomaru. I couldn't tell if I was understang it right or not, but was she contimlating trying to solicite his assistance in this before she shot the idea down? I wasn't sure I was following.

Its interesting to watch Sesshomaru's evolution of emotions and feelings. He seems to really care for her, and seems to be finding it harder and harder to convince himself otherwise. It seems as he starts to accept and realize his feelings towards her that he's having a harder time keeping himself from wanting contact with her, even if its just innocent little touches.

After the first few chapter, I begin to wonder where you was going with this. Now, after reading the last few chapters I completely understand...I think.  This story is more to me about the psychology of the relationship. I think the entire time you had planned to go into the emotional growth of the relationship. Because, how could someone forgive who has almost destoryed them inside and out. Well, now that I understand this (even if that is not what you have planned), the story has become so much more interesting with curiosity of IF Kagome can forgive and IF the real "in control" Sesshoumaru can actually love. Since Sesshoumaru has admitted that he seem to stay true to the mating his beast performed, without, admitting he has loved Kagome for sometime. However, fear of the beast has kept Kagome away from realizing Sesshoumaru is different and can be loved. Such loyality Sesshoumaru "in control" has shown to the mating bond. Especially, since Kagome is human. Gotta say, Sesshoumaru the "in control" has honor.  This is very different...the only other story that this comes close to with dealing with the emotional growth  is "Means To and End". That is a good story as well. I like your story and it is different if not brilliant. You have really thought out your story and have not rushed through it. Look forward to the next update :)
