This story was excellent!! I think the idea of making another story focusing on Kebechet and Shippo is an excellent idea!!! I really do hope that you make construct that story!!!

Great story, by the way - so far I've loved everything i've read by you and this is no let down.

"The only thing in Inuyasha’s mind at that moment, was the almost overpowering urge to throw his sword down on the ground and stomp on it over and over, all the while screaming ‘No fair! I wanted to kill him!’" I can just see Inuyasha doing that as a chibi. Good job.

oh and anubis has a whole-body dog-like appearance but is in a humanoid shape izzit?since most high-end(i think) egyptian gods only have their heads taking on animal form...

I have just finished reading this story for the third time. I loved it just as much as I did the first time. You have real talent. Did you ever decide to do part two with Shippo and Kebechet? I hope you've not abandoned that idea. It can still be a Sess/Kag story, too, since they would be the main background characters. I love reading continuing sagas that follow the characters from one generation to the next. Please e-mail me and let me know your decision so I can either keep looking for it or stop.

I am amazed with this story. I realize you've been finished with it for several months, but I'm sure that doesn't detract from the enjoyment of reviews :].
There are very, very few stories out there that can come even close to the level yours is on. I'm relatively new to IY fanfiction (reading almost exclusively HP, and some Yu Yu Hakusho), but the Sess/Kag pairing immediately caught my 'fancy'. 'As Death Gives Life' is the best Sess/Kag story I've ever read - and I include Resmiranda's Tales from the House of the Moon in my consideration (that comes close second to this for me :o). I know that by saying I'm new might lead you to believe that I haven't the authority to be giving such praise, but by new I mean I've been reading IY a few months - compared to all the experience and variety from the last 7 years I've been reading HP. In addition, given how much I like to read, I've actually read quite a bit of IY in the last few months and this is truly the best I've read. With how completely well-written, interesting, ORIGINAL, wonderful, and just totally high-quality this story is, I would be very appreciative of any recommendations you could make to me for other stories (as I'm sure you hold what you read to the same standards as you hold your own writing). Only what you can think of off of the top of your head, and if you have the time, of course! If that time could be used updating, I'd much rather you did that!
You, of course, do not need to recommend anything of your own as I will be checking out the rest once I'm finished with this story!

Oh - I have a question. In this chapter, you have written:

In chapter ten you write:
"The female youkai had long baby blue hair, which was in direct contrast to her large sparkling eyes the color of ripe peaches. "

I'm assuming the magenta was a mistake? I personally like the sound of the peach eyes in contrast to the magenta better...not that that should hold any sway over Her Majesty Authoress! ;-p

Heading off now to do some more reading of the story that is so high in the ranks of ALL fanfiction! (Must stop spouting - I'll have nothing to write for the rest of my reviews!)

wow! that was absolutly breathtaking, simply marvelous fanfic. in the beginning i'll admit i was getting a bit annoyed that it was more of an anubis and kagome relationship but i'm glad when sesshoumaru came along. i dunno if i'd let sesshoumaru and kagome fall in love that quickly, it seemed to happen in a matter of days or weeks. but i like the way you kept with the character's personas. so all i can say is well done, very well done indeed.

In a search for a well put together and exhilarating story, I came across this one. I have to say, I was most pleased! This is by far one of the best fanfictions I have ever had the joy of reading. You are a very talented writer. The storyline, characters, and their interactions with one another was astounding.
Some stories have parts that are overly detailed, and no matter how well written, become rather drab. I found none of this in As Death Gives Life. I believe that should you decide to pursue a career in professional writing, you will be well accepted, and I for one, would be an avid reader of your books.

You wrote out everything so wonderfully and even your OC characters were just as lovable as the original characters. (I loved Lord Buhito and Lady Chika!) But wow, I've read this for most of a week and must say it was worth it. I believe if you want to do that continuation with a Shippo and Kebecht coupling: it would be spectacular. I was sensing possible chemistry in the end there and would enjoy reading their budding relationship. (Though nothing will beat the Sesshoumaru and Kagome pairing!) Sorry I typed so much! I haven't reviewed a fic in a long time, mainly because I didn't find any wonderful enough to do so for. But...I read this whole fic in two days and could barely turn my computer off to go to work. You Storie is really great! But there has been something confusing me: At the beginning, as Anubis searched for the protector, Lord Fusakae had been a falcon youkai. Later on, he's a kitsune. Is there a reason behind this change?

For some reason I never felt like starting to read this one, because the summary didn't really speak to me. But after thinking about how much I loved "The Portal", I figured I might aswell read this one, and I'm glad I did!
You write excellent! Good grammar and spelling, which is very important to me. And the charactarisations were splendid! Sesshoumaru is hard to portray, but you did a great job at that! Your lemons are always tasty, and I think I'm gonna have a look at that house of lemons you have posted on AFF. ;)

That was one hell of a wonderful roller coaster. And I love roller coasters! ^.^ I loved it. It was a truly delightful story. It's still a little odd to here "Inuyasha and his mate, Kat" or something of the like when I have been called "Kat". Kind of weird, you know? And it's sad that Jaken had to die after all that but, Kebechet's beautiful albino cobra was beautiful. And I love the idea of ShippouxKebechet. ....Could that be considered incest? I can't wait to read your other stories, especially if they're as good as "As Death Gives Life"! ^.^

You see you spelled Lord Buhito's name wrong (though I find it hilarious 'Burito Teriyaki!!! HAHA Tis funny) Also you tend to spell feet 'feat'. Feet are the things our toes and legs are attatched to and feat is a task or some sort.

Otherwise, great work! You are by far one of the BEST authoresses out there!!

I really like your story so far. I noticed though that in this chapter you said that Kat has magenta eyes and when you first described her they were peach colored. Just thought I would let you know, in case you didn't realize it.

I must say, in the beginning I seriously doubted the way Sesshie and Kags were going to end up together, it sounded to much like a Kag/OC to me, but I was pleasently surprised
I've always loved your work and the moment Shippo grew I had thought he and Kebechet would be great together, I hope you do write a sequel, definatly not as long as this story, but I would really like it, please continue writing so that I can continue enjoying!
