yeaaa. the funny thing was that i thought that i'd be more likely to be flamed for AM. it would actually be worried but then i'm still get storyalert updates from ffn. n i guess i should be flattered that they actually spent the time to flame me. the review was posted anonymously but my update email tells me who it was XD i'm gonna drop an author note at the beginnin of the next chapter

FOR SURE. i was a munchkin wen i started it XD it's good that they have betas set up but personally, i'd think i'd go insane editing other ppl's fics. i just have my own style of writing and i find that i keep changing someone's writing until it's more like my own XD and i agree. it takes guts to put your "baby" (story) out there for someone to take apart XD if you want to take some ideas with someone, i'm always up for. just don't ask me to help you edit. haha. i AM tempted. i've been talking it over with a few close friends of mine. i think we might go a few years later when we save up a bit more money and do a road trip down =)

XD don't worry. you can't be worse than my mom. she uses her two index fingers...thinks about it and pokes the keyboard XD it's actually painful for me to watch her type XD but i dont say anything or she makes me her personal secretary XD

the typing programs are a pain in the ass. they put us through it in elementary/high school. even though if you really feel determined to do it right, "All the right type?" is not a bad program. since in the computer lab, we didn't have any games and weren't allowed to go online, we picked the rowing game and had competitions with the computer XD the faster you type, the faster your guy rows....we were very dorky kids XD

you can still bug her to look at your stuff. i keep bugging my friend to look at it for me =) witty dialogue is awesome. are you a greek mythology fan? one of my favourite authors of ALL TIME is sherrilyn kenyon. her darkhunter series is FANTASTIC. i almost have her entire series on my bookshelf. great witty dialogue and fantastic lemons. if you're allergic to lemons..then you've been warned =P

Not weird at all. my sis is exactly the same. she does EVERYTHING by hand. it would drive me insane to have to deal with THAT many sheets of paper. i convince myself that i'm being eco friendly by studying off my laptop and not printing my notes =D

i will bookmark it and save it for when i feel "epicky?" now that's a funny looking word =D it drives me insane when a fic is AMAZING until the end. makes me itch if the end is less than spectacular. i cant quite recall which movie at the moment but some of them would have made a huge difference by just ending a few minutes earlier.

i actually run all my fics through a close friend before posting my chapters out. it works for me to have someone to kick me in the butt for my errors. maybe you could call your drabbles? snapshots in time? i actually have a friend who gets her ideas in "stills" which would explain why her writing has absolutely gorgeous background/setting details. i see mine as moving pictures which would explain why my writing is centered around the characters.

i agree. writing or typing it out helps me memorize it more. i tried drafting on paper but it is just so hard for me to edit and read it. now i just spew everything out onto a word processor and clean up after.

hmm...maybe i'll go back and give it a try again later. like you said, we can't have action, action, action throughout such a long story

That's really interesting. Have you thought about making those 10 pages into oneshots? One after another and somehow write a brief explanation to link them all together

I'm not a great note taker either. when i'm in class, i love to take long, detailed notes..which kinda defeat the purpose of taking notes XD

writing for two hours straight is pretty impressive! i'm been so spoiled by my laptop that i don't really write much anymore. my handwriting is barely legible and i'm always worried that the ta won't be able to read my writing when they are marking my exams XD

I never got through "Tales From The House of the Moon." it started off GREAT. i absolutely loved the concept but the jumping back in forth in time drove me insane. If you don't mind the inu/kag pairing. "The Phoenix Blade:Time Lapse" is a MAJOR epic. 90 something chapters. felt exhausted at the end of it but it was great =D i need a break before i reread though XD

That's what I am doing too. I'm staying a few chapters ahead so even if I get writer's block, you guys will have something to read.

that is true. i'm currently working on something called "a story within a story." i hate it...but it's necessary to explain things. i'm trying to make it as short as painless as possible. being a perfectionist is not a bad thing. it just takes more time to crank things out =D i actually catch myself once in a while rushing to get a part done so i can go to the part that i really want to write. whenever that happens, i know it's time to take a break XD

quick question. doesn't jotting the notes down and seeing them jumpstart your memory? but everyone is different. two hours just to write them down..wow. that must have been two very detailed dream. epic length =D

In fact, I started fanfic because my friend linked me to her "The Once and Future Taiyoukai." Needless to say, I fell in love =) Have you read "Golden Fire"? It's her one Inuyasha and Kagome pairing. It's interesting but definitely not as good as her Sess/Kag ones =0

I completely agree with you. I've started quite a few stories in the past with absolutely no idea where it will go. In fact, I told myself that I wasn't going to post anything on ffn until I had gotten to a certain length. That's why if you look onto ffn, I updated like 16 chapters all in one day XD

great minds think alike =) i'm just so anal that i need to have points of reference. like pt A and a half needs to lead to pt B. XD the most important thing is that i need to know how it's going to end XD No point going on forever and not having an ending. both readers/authors need closure XD

oh yeaaa. i do the same thing. i actually keep a notepad next to my night table for instances like these. since i usually have to go somewhere after i wake up, i just jot everything down in note form. i actually have one fanfic sitting in the wings right now that is completely based on one of the dreams i had. i found that stories based based on my dreams take a little longer to get down into words. AM is actually based on a dream i had. in my dream, i ended up killing off inupapa and taking the throne. NOT quite happy about that ending so i'm going to have to change things up a bit =) whoops...i hope i hope i didnt kill any hopes of me offing inupap XD
