About Me

Hellooo everyone!

I'm a girl from the beautiful city of Vancouver, BC. With beautiful sunshine hitting us once every little while, seeing sun makes me productive and happy. =)

I've just started writing seriously for the past two years or so.

I play badminton competitively so I get a chance to travel to different places around the world

Traveling and vivid dreams at night give me my inspiration.

I am also a complete sucker for romances and my favourite pairing of all time is Sesshoumaru and Kagome.

Fangirls unite! ANYWAYS, I hope you enjoy my stories. ;)

Why do I write?

Ever had this burning idea in your mind that wouldn't let you sleep, eat or do anything else properly without writing it down? Well, I have. I also have the weirdest, most cracked up and complicated dreams anyone could have and so you guys get to read it here =)

I write for my sanity but reviews won't hurt! So please feed me reviews ;)

Favourite Anime!

I have been a fangirl of Inuyasha ever since it came out about 12 years ago and stuck to it until The Final Act came out earlier this year.
Other animes that I rank among my favourites are Sailor Moon, Ranma 1/2 and Kuroshitsuji

Despite being a huge fan of the three listed above, I do not think I will be producing fanfiction for any of those wonderful worlds.

I am currently working on two stories for Inuyasha:

The Flourishing of the Sakura under an English Sun - Currently in progress - updates every Saturday

The Assassin's Moon - Currently in progress - updates every Tuesday

My account on FFN is midnight.darkztar

It was actually a pretty well-mannered flame, at least. Some flamers can be extremely rude. I read what some people write as reviews and it made me cringe. Let’s not think about flames for AM and just hope you never get one!

I actually feel like a newbie to the fandom because I saw one episode AGES ago that I enjoyed so I told myself that one day I would watch all of the InuYasha episodes. That happened almost a year ago now. And then they came out with the final season recently so I didn’t have to wait long like everyone else. I watched them back-to-back, which I guess is the good thing about getting into a fandom late.

I somehow wouldn’t mind being a beta, because I tend to edit things when I read, but I’m worried that I’d end up rephrasing something in a way that I write, kind of like how you mentioned. Editing typos or simple wrong grammar things are okay, but the problem with English is that there are so many things that can sound wrong but are right or sound right or are wrong or can be right in several different ways but is just a matter of style. I don’t know all the rules, but I think I’m fairly good at the rules I do know...but yeah, I wouldn’t mind being a beta. Sometimes I read things that are beta-ed and I still see typos.

I’ll definitely take you up on the offer if I need it. Which I might. I have three possible ideas swimming around for one challenge and then I have a “borrowed muse” that I started AGES ago but never finished because I’ve been stuck on the same part for months. Annoying. Argh. And you don’t have to worry about me asking you to edit, I only really need help on ideas. Fleshing it out and editing is stuff I can do, so I think it would work if we tried it. Thanks for the offer =)

That sounds like a good plan. Road trip!

I know, right? I can usually feel it when someone hovers like that so I could always tell without turning around.

TFOTS works for me. I was just playing around with the letters and they didn’t like me. Haha. I quite liked the title because it actually kind of clued in to the story a bit. Titles is one of my obsessions in writing stories. I need to have a satisfactory title or it just won’t go.

Oh god, that’s so true. Prom and graduation. Such a waste of money.

I think I saw that flame. It was for "The Flourishing of the Sakura under an English Sun," right? It's bound to happen, but I think of it that if you get flames, you know your story is somewhat known. My things never get flames because no one really reads them. But that's okay for now. I only have three one-shots after all...

I heard about that. It makes you feel kinda old when you think about the fandom's age and all...I actually tried finding a beta for a different fandom, but I realized I wasn't all that into it. I'm actually kinda afraid to find a beta. I just need to have someone to talk about ideas with in RL who knows what I'm talking about. I think I asked help on this with...3 friends so far. No one worked as a consistent help.

Maybe you should try going one year, anyway, even if it's really packed. You may be surprised. Could be worth it, especially if you like the author as much as you do.

I had typing programs in elementary school as well. I obviously didn't do so well on those. I actually remember fake typing correctly when the teacher came around and then typing the way I usually type when I knew the teacher was gone.

For AM: I look forward to how Kagome will grow
For the other story (no idea how to abbreviate that title): Yeah, well, I can see Kagome and InuYasha's friendship being something along those lines anyway. So it's not necessarily childish in a bad way. And I can only imagine how expensive their clothes are...haha.

I don't mind TOO much about being the only one that I know of who openly dislikes the ending. I just feel kinda out of the loop. Everyone puts the story on a pedestal, and I do too, but at least I know I have my own opinions about it this way.

I tried to in the beginning. And then I stopped and gave up because her feedback wasn't the same since she's not into it. She knows the characters, but she just gives me a one sentence thing that addresses something I asked her, like if I ask her if this one part makes sense and she answers it. And then she gives me no extra feedback. It's very discouraging so I no longer ask her for help.

I'm nowhere near allergic to lemony goodness. LOL.
I should try check those out (witty dialogue is LOVE). I've been so into fanfiction for the last few years that I've rarely done any outside reading.

I can't actually type correctly, so I think it takes me longer to think when I type...and I think I might type slower than I write, so that's another reason. But I actually type pretty quickly for not typing correctly. I think my fingers and hands get sore faster though because they're not being used correctly. And I can't type without looking at the keyboard. I keep telling myself I'll learn, but I never do...

Yeah. it's kinda disappointing when that happens, but it's still a great story in the long run, so I can forgive it if I don't like the ending. But the ending is usually the part that it's best NOT to screw up. But who knows, maybe you'll like it. Since that story is so well-loved, I feel like I'm the only one that didn't like the ending.

I used to have a close friend I did that with when we wrote for the same or similar fandoms, but she stopped writing so I ended up stopping as well. I never realized how much I relied on her input at the time until I realized how long it had been since I had written, simply because she hadn't written in so long. Dialogue has always been my center, I think. Not purposefully, but I find that witty and good dialogue is something I notice I enjoy reading the most, so that's probably why it's the focus when I write.

Typing doesn't help me remember things at all. Only writing things by hand does. Weird, huh?

You definitely should when you feel like tackling it. It's a monster to read, but I really like it. I read it twice already. And of course it will always be special because reading it got me into this fandom. Although I wasn't actually too fond of the end, I'll admit. I think if it ended two or three chapters earlier I would have been more satisfied. But it depends on each person.

Wow, that's a really creative idea. I never thought of something like that. This is probably why my writing is so fail. Oh well. I don't know if I'd be able to coordinate a way to connect them. That sounds a tad bit like longer drabbles. I haven't been able to tackle trying to write those yet because in order for it to be a good drabble, it has to be short but has a meaning in it. Which I doubt I'd be able to do at this point...

I like to take long detailed notes too! I find hand writing things helps me remember more so I try to write everything I can. When I have certain story ideas, I find hand writing them helps more than typing them somehow. I don't know why, but it does.

I pretty much devoured that story. It did have its slow parts, which I expected because I noticed how long it was, so I was prepared. I think it was worth the read even if it took a long time. I'm sure it took even longer to write than to read.

Anything that's good. I'll give it a try sometime when I feel like reading InuKag. Thanks for the suggestion

If I feel like writing a future part, I usually just write it. It comes out better if I write it right away. And then if the story changes a little so the part I wrote doesn't completely match once I get to it, I usually just edit it. In a story I never finished, I had about...10 pages of future scenes that hadn't happened yet, I think.

I think I might just not be good at effective note taking. Sometimes the parts that I think were important enough would supposedly spark a memory, but it never did because I just couldn't make sense of my notes. I knew I was hinting at something, but I couldn't figure out what it was...

But yeah...it was pretty long. I couldn't believe I'd been sitting there that long because my hand must have gotten numb from writing since it wasn't all that sore, which I think surprised me as much as the time did.

That fic was maybe the second or third SessKag story I read. The first was Resmiranda's "Tales From the House of the Moon." I started only with epic length stories . I have not read that story, in fact. I used to be biased and only wanted to read SessKag fics since that was the first pairing I got completely into in the InuYasha fandom.

16 chapters in one day? That's funny. I usually like to post stories only once I can write it fairly consistently, I have a general ending in mind, and I always have to be ahead by two chapters. I can only post like...chapter 3 if I have the story written up to chapter 5. That way if I get behind and I start taking too long, I can use one of my back-up chapters. Or both of them if it gets really bad.

I usually like having connections like that because I don't like pointless chapters or scenes (eg. fillers). I like having everything happen for a reason, even really small details. That's probably one of the reasons I can never get ANYTHING done. Sometimes I wish I was less perfectionist...

I tried jotting in note form, but it doesn't work because I never understood what my notes meant. I always have to give myself lots of time and write them down as detailed as possible. Once I took 2 hours to write it all down because I wrote about two dreams that I remembered quite a bit of.

Yeah. Dokuga has SO MANY good authors. rosieB is definitely one of them. And fangirling on my wall is completely alright. In fact, it's welcomed

I think it's better to have the complicated fic planned out and developed so it doesn't start to get plot holes or mix-ups. Ooooh, I got a kinda tiny teaser. Yay, me! XD

You sounds like me when I write. I need to know the general plotline. I just need to fill in the details, and that's where I start getting stuck.

I usually remember most of many dreams. I try to write them down in the morning when I have time. The dreams are usually stories. Sometimes fandom-influenced and other times I have no idea where they come from. Most of the time, in the dreams I'm like "this would make a GREAT STORY, I should remember this when I wake up." How about you?

Wiki is SO incredibly helpful it's almost sad.

I honestly rarely read assassin fics. I started reading yours because if I really like a story from an author, I tend to go and try read everything they wrote, because most of the time the author is just so good all their stories are good. It does kinda seem to be moving slowly, but not in a bad way. It could just be people get impatient when there's no Sesshoumaru action as well.

I don't think you should worry about it too much, though. Take your time to get to where you want to get. It'll turn out better than if you rush because you feel like the story is moving too slow. Perhaps there's a reason and you just don't know what it is yet. At least I'm hoping that's why I'm taking so long to write stuff...
