I probably have some sort of retard setting or something that's messing it up, honestly. But after I cleared everything and restarted, I had to re-log in and I still couldn't hit it. Very weird; I never had a problem with Gallery2 before (I have one floating around somewhere).

I'm fairly sure the problem is related to the links the bridge is making. I'm going to turn on the mod_rewrite so the urls the bridge has to deal with aren't so long. I'm guessing there's a communication problem at some point between gallery2 --> the bridge --> joomla.

G2 is harder to deal with though. I don't know if you've seen how they use those smartytags, but at least to me, the whole process of making changes is way harder. I've noticed in Firefox that there are some CSS problems as well that make the theme seem a little untidy. Either way, there's still improvements to be made.

I was able to successfully reproduce blank pages.

I fixed it by adding the cookie path, which strips a variable from links, including the ones on the front page and gallery pages. It should be working now, and if it's not, I think I have an idea of where to go from here.

Cleared out all my private data except passwords and re-logged in. Still happens.

I reinstalled a clean copy of Gallery2. Any change in the problem?

Not that I can see, but I haven't restarted the browser yet or anything. Well let you know a bit later.

Just wanted to chime in and suggest perhaps uninstalling the browser that is having problems. I had the same issue with firefox on LJ, and it took uninstalling and reinstalling the newest version without any add-ons to get the pages to show up correctly in that browser.

I know that by making a fresh firefox profile with no addons, it works fine.

(In windows, that means you get the "run" window up and type in firefox.exe -p)

But I like my addons and the way my passwords are stored and such, so I'd told Miss Kagura that I'd just look at the fanart section with another browser. She's insistent on fixing it anyway. XD

Must...fix.

I am admittedly running out of things to try though. By the process of elimination, this is what we know:

1. It only affects Mozilla browsers.
2. It only affects SOME Mozilla browsers.
3. It's not a javascript conflict.
4. It's not the gallery core files.
5. It's not the site template.
6. It's not the gallery theme.
7. It has nothing to do with URLs.
8. It only occurs on the embedded version of Gallery2.
9. It's not caused by a Firefox addon, but can be fixed with a new profile.

I'm thinking that last bit holds the fix. I'm going to find out what all goes into a profile and see if I can figure it out later. I hate the idea of leaving things broken, or forcing people to choose or not choose a certain browser.

Fanart's working for me on my work computer now. Haven't checked the home one or laptop yet today. =D

Okay,unless something changed on your end, I think it must have been caused by using Gallery2 with PHP4.7. When the host moved us, it was to a server running the latest versions of MySQL and PHP5. A lot of bizarre issues with the gallery that only occured in the backend pretty much vanished, and according to the FAQ's, it was really designed to run on PHP5. That type of problem would produce bugs that are a little hard to track down.

I'm hoping that now, we have it fixed.
