Someone should do a story on this...it would be epic!

Most of us remember the line when Sesshoumaru told Rin, "I don't eat human food."

So what does he eat?

I started this thread because I want your opinions on what the demon lord might eat. What have you read in different stories? I've read ones where he DID eat "human" food. I've read ones where he eats raw meat, and ones where he eats other demons. I've even read one where he didn't eat at all. This question just popped into my mind as I was working on a chapter to my story (which wasn't even about eating BTW) and I wanted to get your opinions!

He could eat other youkai hearts, like hiten did to manten after he died. It would make sense since he would gain the power of his fallen enemies and he lusts for power.

I never thought of that one before. I suppose it kinda would make sense, even if I do find it a little gross.

Hmmm, Lord Sesshoumaru doesnt eat human food, in fact, I dont think he 'eats' at all. he prolly feasts on the fear from his opponents or rouge demons that go against him lol

Wait-no that's not it. XP I'm sure it's tofu. lol Or maybe he's like the vegetarian version of demons. Like he's on a special diet...eating mushrooms or whatnot. For all extensive purposes though, I think he goes on nightly hunts and eat them (i.e: animals) alone, preferably very, very rare.;3 Ya know a predator can never be seen eating by a prey. XD

I would imagine raw meat...then again I think he would think that to be beneath him. That's an actually a good question....

Or you know, he could eat lesser demons. I actually like the idea that he eats the hearts of the ones that he defeats.

But in all seriousness,you might be right. I would think he'd eat lesser demons...survival of the fittest...and fit he is...

maybe the lesser demons taste like sausages?

I know this is sacrilege, but I would really hate to clean up after his big doggy form. My big dog only weighs 140 lbs., and that's horrifying enough...

I would think Sesshoumaru would eat something like raw meat with the way he is always patrolling his lands and hunting everything that moves on them.

Well thechnically since I consider him like a wild dog...I'd imagine that he feasts on anything that's available but I seriously doubt he eats humans. I think he might eat small animals raw...but after all keep in mind that he's a dog and dogs are carnivores so it's only natural that his late night "outtings" center around him hunting and such. (the other theory I have for his mysterious disappearances at night is exploring/scouting for enemies and my ever popular "taking-a-dip-in-the-hotsprings")
