If Inuyasha were to be made into a live action film, what celebrities would you pick to portray Kagome and Sesshomaru? As well as the rest of the cast of Inuyasha?

From the photos of the play I've seen, it looks pretty weird. I'd love to find a copy of it, because they did have a limited DVD release of the original production, but I've so far failed in tracking anything down. *sigh*
As for a real movie... well, on one hand, shoot me, on the other.... if they did it right, with Takahashi-sensei overseeing the production, I'd be less nervous. But I'm very wary of big-budget Hollywood re-pros of Japanese properties. Aside from the Ring, nothing good has come of it. (Then again, I AM very hard to please, being a communications major does that to you.)

I think that all the actors would have to be unknown. Any wellknown actor would want to put their 'spin' on the characters and ruin the whole thing. I would hope if they did do a live action Inuyasha, that they would do it in Japan. Hollywood would butcher it like they do with most films that start as manga or comics, but I would like to see a live action Inuyasha...if Rumiko Takahashi did it.

I have to agree with all you've stated... but I really don't think anyone could portray Sesshomaru and all his glory. But I don't think I would like the anime as a live movie. Perhaps it's just me but I think the act of turning it into a movie would cause all the butchering on its own and not the actors chosen to portray the characters

for awhile now i thought Gackt would make a good sesshoumaru. if you watch his interviews on youtube he has that whole indifferent cool emotionless exspression down pat.

I would love to see an Inuyasha movie. I dont care if they butcher the characters (authors butcher them all the time but I still enjoy reading) but the actors should be asian or at least half bloods like Keanu Reeves. BTW he's too old to play any demon part. Sessho and Yasha look like they are in their mid twenties and Reeves is like 40.
They just released DragonBall evolution and its pretty good.
And I enjoyed DeathNote too.

I agree! Gackt is my pick for Sesshoumaru. He played a warlord from the Sengoku period in Furin Kazan and he was awesome. Here's a clip so you can see him with long hair.
My pick for Naraku is also a musician, but he's not an actor. He has the mean voice and the looks though.

I think this guy would make an excellent Sesshoumaru! He is scrumptious!!!
You did a wonderful job on the fanart! Sesshoumaru looks just lovely in that pose. He seems like he has a lot on his mind... *Whispers* Kagome. *Grins* Oh, and I see that the little dog has been replaced by the mokomoko. lol. I don't blame you. Though I love dogs... the mokomoko seems a lot more cuddly!
