Sign ups for the 10th annual Dokuga Holiday Exchange are officially open!

Quick recap: The holiday exchange is a secret Santa with stories and art being gifted. We have been running this exchange since 2008! All the information you need can be found here: Sign up guidelines

Please follow the directions listed here to sign up. The exchange email is dokugaexchange@gmail.com. If you have any questions, please fill free to post them here, email them or send me a PM.

Side note: As we do every year, we would love to have someone make a special fanart for us for the participation banners. If it is something you would be interested in, please PM me. I do apologize for not getting the banners in for last year, they completely slipped my mind, but I will have them done before this year's exchange is finished.

I did not get things started early enough this year so will be holding off on trying the Avalanche exchange, you write/draw a gift for everyone who signed up, until 2018.

I will be sending a message to anyone who posted on last year's thread to remind you that sign ups are open. To make things easier for in the future, let me know if you want to be added to an alert list to be notified each year .

Hey, yeah.

A one-shot or an update to one of my existing incomplete stories.

I can offer up two of those.

It should be an original story, they don't want you submitting something that's a new update, deleted scene, or a part of one of your existing stories.

It can be either. I'm not terribly worried. That's why I popped up the option. I rarely use deleted scenes but I get what you're saying.

It has to be new and completely unconnected to any of your other work. If you would like to sign up, just follow the how to directions on the link I provided. Should take you no more than 5 minutes. If you have any questions, let me know.

Someone who steps in to help if another drops out of the exchange. Kinda like reserves sport's teams have if someone gets injured or sent off during play. A pitch hitter replaces the person that leaves and takes over their place/part of the exchange. I was one in last year's exchange, along with taking part.

Loved every second of it. Pitching included.

Exactly, just to add as well, the pitch hitter is usually someone who is also participating in the exchange as opposed to an outside person.

Side note: if you have signed up since the 20th please let me know here. Not sure if email isn't working or people simply haven't signed up yet and want to make sure it's not the former

oh snap I wanted to sign in but got caught in life, and forgot the date! it's my wedding anniversary today so I was busy and it totally escaped my attention! can I still sign in today? or is it too late?

It is Gmail, though I don't see where I wrote Hotmail so if you can point out the spot I put that I can correct it

Note: Found it and fixed it, sorry for the confusion.

Not sure yet if I'll join up for the exchange this year. Bought a new pc and may or may not have teething problems with my wacom tablet. And it'll take me a fortnight to get it where I want it to be for regular use.

Ugh.

It is of course completely up to you but figured I would remind you that the gifts wouldn't be due until at least Dec 10th and I can give extensions; so you would probably have the full time to work on yours after you got your tablet to how you want it.

Of course, you do not have to sign up, but you do have plenty of time if you choose to .

I'm tempted honestly, but my art has taken a nosedive in the last nine months. I'm not satisfied in general that I'm ready to be doing requests again. Urgh. I'm trying to get my base construction better and learning to do gestural drawing and stuff like the loomis method. It's working, but I need more practice.

I hope I might be up-to-scratch next year.

I'm not that confident at the moment.
